Yes, the rent and just living in general went up because everybody is moving down here. And the there isn't enough housing to keep up with the demand of people. So, all of the management companies raised the prices.

A one point back in 2019 so many people were moving down here, on the news they stated. 1,200 people were moving to Atlanta every week.

I bought my place back in 2009 for $140 k, now all the houses around me are going for the upper $270k+

I mean 2k is average for any large city. 2k can’t get you a 1br apartment downtown from where I am. You need 2500 minimum for a 1 bedroom condo
