Is there any indication that what they're working is a Call of Duty competitor? Other than they've got the guys who made Black Ops working on it?

Cause in no way does that prove they're working on a competitor to Call of Duty as so many people seem to think for some reason.

I know Deviation isn't a Playstation studio and is just receiving support but if Sony put their talent into something other than third person action games and branched into other genres just a lil bit.

Everything’s under wraps. Officially all they’ve said is a new multiplayer IP massive in scope, quality this quality that.

Where the tid bits come from are the job postings for it and the experience they’re looking for all points towards FPS. Especially when you add their own history it comes together.

So we can’t say it’s a direct competitor, we can say it’s a new FPS IP that wants some level of story in it with a giant budget and Sony level polish.

Also, the game would have gone into full production late last year or early this year. The Canadian team is fresh and hiring for leadership roles indicating they’re gearing up for another project. It’s fair to a*sume each studio has atleast two teams on all cylinders.

David Jaffe confirmed Sony wouldn't be working on a Resistance game because Guerilla is the studio who is working on a shooter that they want to be their staple shooter, it's confirmed that it won't be k*llzone. Sony will probably try to promote that game and factions.
