Lol... came in here like who the fu*k is j war

I don’t listen to dude music but I can tell he is going to be around in the business for a long time. Listening to his interviews he seem to be moving a lot better than the people his age and the old heads are embracing him.

Damn 21k...that's horrible for him considering he supposed the be the next Cole/Kendrick..he might want to go the Drake route and start making love and club songs.. nobody wants to hear about "my flow sinister" in 2022

The fans haven’t bought in to his story yet, which is major if you’re going to go the lyrical/ traditional emcee route in the mainstream.

Kendrick = from Section 80/GKMC , people were interested in this young kid from Compton who had family and friends in gang culture but never was a street n*gga, who ran into regular n*gga issues growing up in that environment.
He had a conscious style with a west cost perspective.

Drake= this child star who could sing to women in a vulnerable way and rap some slick sh*t that n*ggas could vibe with. This n*gga was a cheat code musically. He gets the credibility co-sign from Wayne and he was outta here.

Meek= this dusty cornrow battle rapper from Philly with swag/flaunt bars and early criminal charges hooks up with Ross and people cared about him f*ghting probation and his MMG co-sign. He represented the young fly n*ggas getting to the bag.

Cole= this mixed regular n*gga who rapped about the college struggle and music grind, which immediately connected to college demographic.

Cordae and his team has to find a way to make his story/narrative connect. And musically he better find a niche or sound that other n*ggas ain’t tapped into yet, because n*ggas ain’t respecting the Cole imitation.

Yall talking about a Em and Wayne feature. His girlfriend is one of the most famous Tennis players in the world and he be at all the games lol. I like the kid though, the lane he's in just isn't open yet. His time will come

I think its important for any artist that wants a fanbase. If your not just going to make booty music, then you need a story for the fans to latch on to. Cordae tells his story in his music but I think its a disconnect though but he doesnt really make you believe it. He's dope none the less.
