Mike McCarthy said the QB draw on final play with 14 seconds remaining is practiced each week and he was surprised they didn’t get another snap. He was told NY review was likely to put more time on the clock.

Nah it was a good call but 2 things fu*ked it up

Dak ran too far be shoulda got down 2 seconds earlier and the Center should have turned around and given the rock to the ref instead of putting it down.

You can’t blame the ref that’s his job he has to touch the ball

I've got no dog in y'alls argument and I've hated the Cowbi*ches my entire life, but the journo at ESPN wrote it up like this

"The execution between us and the official spotting the ball obviously wasn't in tune," coach Mike McCarthy said. "We shouldn't have had any problem getting the ball spotted there." McCarthy defended offensive coordinator Kellen Moore's decision to call the run, even with no timeouts. He said he was "shocked" the Cowboys didn't get a last-play opportunity. The Cowboys call those situations, "church clock," situations and it is something they practice each week. "Do you want to be running a Hail Mary play from the 50 yard line or do you want to run five verticals form the 25 yard line?" McCarthy said. "So, that's the decision, it's the right decision."

A QB draw with no timeouts and 14 seconds left should be a fireable offense. That is mind bogglingly stupid. He could've literally called up any passing play at all and nobody would've blame McCarthy / OC for whatever happened. But a play that keeps the clock moving is mind bogglingly stupid

Horrible call. You can't run that play. You need at least 16 seconds to run that play when you have no timeouts. That's actually well known around the league. So you are wrong just off that fact alone.

If you are running a draw there then you have to actually believe that Dak was going to score a TD from the 40 because you won't have time for another play

was talking to my homie about this asking wtf were they thinking? Like someone posted dak ran for too long, I like Kellen Moore since he's from Washington state but if he made that call that was really dumb, have no idea what they were thinking.
