Why do you need 5G for this? Looks like normal internet sh*t to me. Latency kind of makes sense, but bandwidth can’t be that high to send control signals.

You say regular internet… without mentioning how the excavators connect to the net.

With 5G, its just a sim card away from being remote. Anything else would have to have a router on site connected to a landline.
Or atleast “WAN” <-the old fashioned way.

What I find funny about you continuing to ask this stupid question is the fact that China's numbers are nowhere near ours and their government did what was necessary to limit the spread. Now you barely even hear about China when the virus is brought up. You need to be focused on holding your own government accountable for all the bullsh*t going on here with mandates and different states doing whatever they want when it comes to masks.

That was why I was asking though. If the difference is that there isn’t a need for local wi-fi networks, that would be crazy.

I know it’s about to be the “Internet of Things” and these tools are an example of “things” but I did expect that they were operating under a local network. I kinda just needed that spelled out. Lol.

So low-latency, high bandwidth and can connect anywhere?
