I don't remember if it was the Concord 11s or Space Jam 11s but one of those releases literally broke the mall that year.

Man, I remember when Jordan’s used to sit in the shelves for weeks outside of the 7’s, 8’s and 11’s.

It was a crazy time where people use to strategize just to get kicks especially down here in the 757 VA we didn't have house of hoops or anything yet. So all the KDs and lebron 9 exclusives I would have to travel to NJ, NY or try online. Now you don't see the stampede but feel the L much quicker every Sat. and big release due to bots.

Just sad man they could've easily made enough pairs to meet demand so much unnecessary tragedy surrounding this but if you're talking social experiment it's interesting

Definitely the concords bruh. I've never tried so hard to get a pair of shoes in my life until that day. In hindsight, I was a damn fool for all that gas I wasted driving through the whole 757 to spend $200 lmaooo

I remember my older brother and his friends coming back with some war wounds just to get a pair of Jordan’s and my lil ungrateful a*s waiting for them in the van hoping they got me a pair too.

Those were the days.

2011-2014? Lol
Try the mid 90s before the retro era back when Js dropped during the week. Folks was literally leaving and skipping school to cop.
Malls started getting crazy in 2000 when retro started taking off.

Usually I'd be the first one to blame the resellers but this was different. Nike didn't release NEARLY enough quantity to meet the demand. Even if there was no ebay and only sneakerheads were buying them there still wouldn't have been enough.

The OG Space Jams drop December 13th, 2000
That's what started the madness in the malls.
Then the Columbias and Cool Greys in 2001 followed by the Breds Dec 2001.
2001 was a crazy year period
