Dolph was corrupted by the depravity of southern Trap music, and HOMIE needed to grow up and evolve, but he didn’t.

I say this as a fan.

i hate this mentality. "moving wrong"

the guy was in a bullet proof car, with security riding shotgun with a draco

if a mf cant get out his for 2 mins to get some cookies then his days were numbered regardless. I mean they were clearly on his a*s. He cant afford to literally have a ton of security on payroll 24/7 and even if he did he still gotta come outside

RIP Dolph.

I wouldnít say he was addicted to the lifestyle he just didnít let anybody or any of the bullsh*t going on change him. He still was riding solo with plenty beef after being shot at 100 times. I wouldnít say that was addiction it was more like stubbornness.

Sad thing is they couldve played it like some normal jay-z nas rap beef to drum up clout and then done a joint tour/album.

I hate they did Dolph like that, out of the rappers thats out and ain’t got jack sh*t else going on, they off Dolph

Dolph was more creative, fresher, giving back, grooming Glock and taking care of his fam and doing it his way, not many rappers was holding it down like Dolph

n*ggas didn’t like that, hate, jealousy and envy it come when you too litt

BS..

Dolph had a feature by Gucci Mane 10 years ago on a Drumma Boy before he blew later.

Like Gucci, Dolph knew how to pick good production.

Don't blame it on Trap Music though.

Dolph was making hustler Music. The type of music that motivated you to get off your a*s.

No charges filed against Memphis man accused in Young Dolph shooting

Yolanda Jones Daniel Connolly

Memphis Commercial Appeal

The*Memphis man suspected*of*the high-profile shooting that critically injured local rapper Young Dolph in California this week was released from jail without being charged.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that*Corey McClendon, 43, was released Thursday, the day after he was arrested.* Online jail records say he left the jail at 5:22 p.m. Pacific time.
Friday, no one else was arrested in the shooting.
"He (McClendon) was booked on suspicion of attempted murder but not charged. If charges arenít filed within 48 hours of a personís arrest, they are released from custody," said Los Angeles County District Attorney spokesman Greg Risling. "The investigation into the shooting is ongoing."
In Tuesday's shooting, Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Thornton Jr., was shot in an altercation with three men outside Loews Hollywood hotel, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, Los Angeles police Det. Meghan Aguilar said.

Dolph, 32,*was confronted by the men, leading to a physical f*ght, Aguilar said. One of the men pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times. He was able to run to the Shoe Palace for help. He was taken to the hospital critically injured, but is expected to survive, according to Aguilar.

Young Dolph was staying at the same hotel as another Memphis rapper,*Yo Gotti. Dolph and Gotti*are known rivals, and earlier media reports called Gotti a person of interest*in the shooting.*Corey McClendon and Gotti are known a*sociates.*
LAPD spokeswoman Officer Irma Mota said Wednesday morning that Gotti was not a person of interest in the shooting.
She said police were interviewing several witnesses and McClendon was detained and later booked.*

McClendon and Gotti were both arrested in 2010 after five people were shot in the parking lot of Level II nightclub on American Way.
The charges against Gotti were dropped in the 2010 brawl due to a lack of witnesses. McClendon was shot during the brawl.*

.
This is not the first time Dolph has been involved in a shooting.
Earlier this year while in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dolph's SUV was shot more than 100 times. Dolph said he survived because his $300,000 SUV had bulletproof panels.

After the February shooting, Dolph released an album called "Bulletproof" about the Charlotte shooting.
Another Memphis rapper, Blac Youngsta and two other men were arrested on charges stemming from the Charlotte shooting involving Young Dolph.
Blac Youngsta, whose real name is Sammie Marquez Benson, turned himself in to authorities in Charlotte but took to social media to proclaim his innocence.
Blac Younsta is signed to Yo Gotti's CMG label. There has been an ongoing beef between Blac Youngsta and Gotti's camp with Young Dolph.
Both Gotti and Blac Youngsta have released rap songs against Young Dolph; Dolph has retaliated in his lyrics against them.
Commercial Appeal reporter Katie Fretland and The a*sociated Press contributed to this story.
