Has anyone ever been successful at getting their PSN account back after having it hacked. Last week i got a email saying the email linked to my account had been changed and then another email saying that a 2 step authorization had been set up… so of course i hit Sony, with yo , that wasn’t me.. they tell me they can’t help me because my info doesn’t match the system.. and I’m like no sh*t..so i call the number and they tell me, they don’t have enough people to take calls… what type of sh*t is this

This is about to be a real headache for you cause the first thing Sony is going to do is ask to send you a 2fa code...and its going to go to the person using your sh*t and theyre going to do the 'It wasn't me" link and youll get denied over and over again..keep escalating until you talk to someone that can request ID and Proof of ownership for past payment methods on the account. Don't stop at the first people you speak to cause youll be caught in a loop. Once you get someone who allows you to send in like a photo ID and copy of your bank statement showing every past purchase was by you, you should be straight

How do people still get hacked in 2021?

Stop using the same PW for everything.

sh*t happened to me at the start of last gen. After speaking to someone at Sony they were able to confirm my identity through the serial number of my playstation.
