Well @Westsidegunn @buffalokidsgallery let’s hope that since you STOLE my voice for your incoherent kindergarten fables….that you saved up enough delivering for Door Dash….because….You….are….’d. You’ll be paying me for years….apologize and I’ll think about not collecting every dime for the rest of your life….or I can just get WWE lawyers….that’s ok too. Settle with my lawyer. And don’t EVER use my voice again….so wrong.

WWE ring announcer Greg Hamilton has threatened legal action against former Roc Nation artist Westside Gunn.

Hamilton took to Instagram, stating Gunn used his voice on a music project without his permission.

Based on Hamilton’s comments on the post, he is seeking a settlement, or will be using WWE’s legal team against the rapper.
Westside Gunn is an avid wrestling fan, frequently attending WWE and AEW events. He has made several songs with references to wrestlers. He recently joined forces with rap legend Master P, investing in House Of Glory Wrestling.

He also runs the Buffalo Kids Gallery, it’s flagship location is located in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. AEW stars Butcher, Blade, and Allie have been featured in advertising for the brand.

he doesn’t with this

Wwe doesn’t see wsg making enough money on these tapes to the point of suing him. It’s not like the situation with “the game” copyright thing.

He’s done this on a lot of tapes so they could really get at him if they wanted to

It would probably cost WWE more to sue than they would collect. Westside Gunn ain't selling units like that

Real sh*t Gunn should have known to get it cleared before putting it on his album. This an open and shut case no matter what Gunn fans think about it. Gunn put out several skits and famous people speeches on his projects so this could be just the beginning

I peeped that too; him calling his music "incoherent kindergarten fables" is like him trying to clown Gunn and make his credibility look suspect but if Gunn were to prove himself, he'd be tricking himself out of his career and freedom.

All the smarks and non-casuals know what it is now with the WWE. Gunn shouldn't even address this discreet bigot and let it all play out in court while still doing him.

Sampling is one of the facets of hip-hop.

I understand needing to get samples cleared or doing the due diligence on how to use them to avoid legal trouble; that's how they got Biz Markie (R.I.P.) caught up.

But when these lawsuits happen, is it only the rapper that's financially and legally responsible or does the label get some of that smoke as well?

The labels are the ones signing off on these songs getting mastered and released to be sold (or streamed for monetary purposes) so wassup? Unless the artist signs off on fully being responsible for that on their contract, seems like they just wanna take advantage of these artists but will leave them out in the cold when sh*t get real.

With an artist like west side Gunn tho he has complete control of his music. So in this situation yes it falls on the artist.
