Jayson Tatum Speaks Out After Celtics Get Blown Out By Raptors

Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are off to a rough start.
Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics were not as good as they should have been last year. There were many around the league who felt like this team could have gone far, but in the end, they were a first-round exit. Since that time, the Celtics have been trying to retool around the likes of Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Heading into this season, there was this hope that they would be able to find renewed success, although so far, it's been more of the same disappointment.

For instance, the Celtics lost their first game of the season to the New York Knicks, and last night, they lost to the Toronto Raptors by over 30 points. So far, the Celtics haven't been able to show much physicality, and it's allowing teams to run all over them.

After the game, Tatum spoke to reporters about everything, where he admitted that the squad could be a lot better. Needless to say, Tatum wants him and his teammates to be more aggressive as the season goes on.

“We were too relaxed," Tatum said. “It’s all about how you respond, how we come back on Sunday with a different mindset, more life, more energy.”

The Celtics will have an opportunity to get back on track Sunday when they take on the Rockets in Houston.

It's the turn overs. It was like 24-9 turn overs against the raptors.

And I'm not sure what they need to do, but the third quarter curse is still here. The last 3-4 years we go flat out JV style team in the third. The last two games there were stretches of 4-8 minutes where Celtics didn't score a point in the third.

Maybe just sign IT and let him cook in the third or something. Thought Dennis would be able to do that but he looks like he's either second guessing everything he does or goes full attack mode when not needed and plays out of the rhythm of the offense

I wont argue that.

However The Celtics front office value Tatum, and between two would more likely move brown 1st

Bully Brown might surpass Tatum this season being the option 1a if he can stay healthy. I remember posters on here saying Tatum was way better and the gap was too much for Brown to be the #1 option.

Everybody talked about how the Celtics did better without Kyrie than with Kyrie. Yet, JB and Tatum are better than they were that year they went to the ECF against the Cavs, but what have they done?

That run was a big a*s fluke.

They don't have all NBA talent

They're an excellent team and well made but they just don't have a superstar talent. They're like if the Bucks didn't have Giannis and Middleton is their best player.

Neither Tatum or Brown are playmakers, they're a bunch of 2 options masquerading as ones

They made it to another ECF before the age of 25... Besides actively thinking of ways to not end up on the court playing BASKETBALL, what has Kyrie done?

Hows does that make him Dumb? Is there some huge Gap between them?

Which one is younger? Which one has more accolades?
Which one sells more jerseys?

Would a GM not take those into consideration?

youre making is seem as if brad cant see value beyond accolades and jersey sales

if theres 1 person in the c's organization that knows browns value, its goin to be brad.. he had im play the 2,3,4 at times, start and come off the bench for the kyrie celtics and through all that still continued to work on his game

meanwhile tatum still settling for terrible shots and hasnt been asked to much outside of take better shots

brad just became the gm so this idea of valuing tatum more is bogus.. stop running with what the media tells you

I got a feeling he’s going to fu*k us up and drop some birthday buckets I wish Danny would’ve traded him for Harden I would’ve loved that. He’s probably my fav player not on the Rockets as is.

Even tho we blew them tf out... the way he was effortlessly shooting over our 6'9" rook that has a 7-foot wingspan was amazing. Couldn't have been any easier if he was shooting free throws
