Is it really a come up these days tho?

You don’t really have to put in the same type of work that rappers had to in the 90s. There’s no struggle or grind.

He just got a dope opportunity. Remember n*ggas had to spend $$$ at kinkos, and find ways to get studio time in a basic a*s set up…. Then hand out unmixed/mastered demos from the trunk, trying to get heard from a label?

These days, rappers have it easy. Money they spend on chains, that was a grindin n*ggas money for studio time and pressing CDs to be able to one day afford that chain

Scam rap is/was a thing. That’s like saying drake went from “best I ever had” to where he now….. best I ever had was a huge hit itself.

But to be on ESPN is dope!!!

It’s just a different type of difficult. It’s easier to get your music out there but music in general is saturated, much more artists out there compared to the past. So very difficult to differentiate yourself and have lasting power
