You think someone from Interecope would have sent someone in to run that sh*t instead of letting daz and suges boys run it into the ground

Reggie Wright Jr. did exactly that. He made sure everyone got paid what they were supposed to which was the biggest change. The issues came cause one death Row wasn't the same after Pac died, Dre, Snoop, Daz and Kurupt left (though Daz actually came back later during that time). Two.....suge got out and everything really went back to sh*t.

The whole thing was just bad they never utilized the unreleased material until it was too late never gave release dates for anyone etc

facts. the label wasn't ran right to begin with. with all that talent up there albums should've been dropping like clock work.

94 - we should've got: lady of rage, a nate dogg ep(if not an album), and helter skelter along with 'above the rim' and 'murder was the case' soundtracks.

95 - a death row compilation, jewell, tha dogg pound, sam sneed,
2nd snoop album.

I think Jimmy and them cut off Suge and chose Dre's side.

It was the obvious decision to make

Label was always ran terribly.

By 96/97 Interscope had earned so much money out of death Row that they didn’t have to put up with their bullsh*t. They jumped from the sinking ship (and rightly so).

Dre leaving death Row was when things started to decline. Time Warner then backed out of the death Row deal which left them in a vulnerable position with Interscope. Then 2Pac died, then Suge went to jail, Snoop left, Dogg Pound fell apart.

Everything music-wise from death Row 97/98 onwards was unbearable unless it was a posthumous Pac release. Even they were hard to listen to at times.

Suge should’ve left all that gang sh*t at the door. He was a 9 figure boss and fu*ked it all up in the name of “MOB Piru”

Never seen an L like it.

It’s still free Suge tho

To be fair that heltah skelter wasn’t even close to being done and from the unreleased tracks dpg didn’t have tons of material from that era

Def seems like it was more of a party atmosphere after the success of the chronic and doggy style and not tons of music was being produced at that time Dre was a drunk

Reggie said Suge left him in charge, at least that's what he said on a previous video.

That was one of pacs complaints, he said he came specifically to work with dre but dre hardly did sh*t & daz, sneed and quik were doing most of the beat making

Because Jimmy knew the label was trash once Dre left.
Suge was on a path to self destruct, Pac’s death only hastened it.

If someone came in they could have salvaged it for a min, kept snoop happy uts not like snoop ran to dre after DR went to sh*t he went to P, so they could have had snoop dpg, had the unreleased pac recordings etc...
