Lil Uzi Vert Shows Off 320 Pound Deadlift On IG

Apparently the Lil Uzi workout plan is the real deal.

Lil Uzi Vert is all about gains.

Amidst hints at The Pink Tape's existence and potential release, new music previews with Drake and Erykah Badu and a "Blue Notes 2" Tonight Show performance alongside fellow Philly rapper Meek Mill, it seems as if Uzi is only focused on one thing: getting shredded.

After showing off his crazy physique and insane workout routine over the weekend, doing all sorts of weightlifting and bodyweight exercises while fully decked-out in United States Marine Corps gear, the Luv Is Rage rapper was back at it yesterday, showing off an impressive 320-pound deadlift on his IG story.

With Kendrick Lamar's "top of the mornin', top of the mornin', top of the mornin'" from Baby Keem's new record "range brothers" attached to the video, we see Uzi step into the weight, get ready and firmly plant a pair of Jordan 1s into the floor while pulling the weight to his waist. Adding some pretty intense facial expressions in for good measure, it's clear to see that Uzi is really getting after it in the gym.

There hasn't really been any explanation behind the newfound desire to grind and get yolked but whatever's driving Uzi is strong. In the video from the weekend, he was working out in Marines' gear with a knife clipped to his waistband. Whether he's getting ready for some sort of combat, Playboy Carti's Narcissist drop or an album/mixtape rollout for The Pink Tape, one thing is clear: he's going to be jacked while doing it.

Could be..looks like a regular 45lb plate and two bumper plates on each side. Idk how heavy the trap bar is there. Either way, good for him..Im never mad at someone getting in shape.

Do yall count the trap bar as deadlifts? No judgment its just that the straight bar be fu*king my shins up and if I can get the same benefits off the trap bar then I'm with it.

If the movements the same it would be the same lift, so I would say yes.

I'm a straight bar man myself but I've never heard of someone saying the trap bar isn't legit.

Ahhhh ok, yea Ive only seen those fat plates when I went to a buddies gym once, we just have those regular thin ones at every gym I've gone too.

Cant do deadlifts anymore anyway, my sciatic nerve cant handle that sh*t.

Honestly never used one but it does seem to be suited for just beginners and targets different muscles.

I can understand now why some would say its bullsh*t.

The trap bar deadlift is a deadlift but some would say that it is a deadlift on training wheels or a squat deadlift hybrid. Its impact on the posterior chain is lesser than a straight bar deadlift. It also hits the quads more.

Trapbar deadlifts are safer than straightbar deadlifts because there is less pressure on your spine. I think for most people trapbar deadlifts are good enough. If you watch some of the high school and college football training videos you'll see that some schools have transitioned to trapbar deadlifts only. For those people that need more they can do straightbar deadlifts or trapbar deadlifts with specific accessories like nordic curls or something.

I'll tell you I have tweaked my back before where I was bent over and could not even stand up straight. I would hate to have permanent damage just because I was straightbar deadlifting three plates, tried to muscle through that last rep and mess up a disc or something.

And in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter what anybody thinks because its your body and none of these people talking trapbar deadlifts are not real deadlifts is going to help you tie your shoes if you herniate a disc.

Shaming somebody because they don't do straightbar deadlifts is weird, the same way people shame Jim Jones legs.
