Obviously, Big Gipp doesn't really get brought up much as a rapper but his album had soooo many great beats. If Andre 3000 or Big Boi rapped over those beats, it'd be a bonafide classic.

Gipps album was fire production wise I agree.

I still listen to the first Cee Lo album too. Production on there is classic in my opinion, and he was really trying to do an album fused with funk/rap/R&B/soul and a bit of pop thrown in. It's a real feel good album IMO

Underrated af. OutKast overshadowed all the DF projects + the game changed leaving this type of sh*t behind. Classic joints on this album

hell fu*king no. not even in the top 20. dr dre first 2 albums.

it does not really even have muisc or alot of instruments in the beats. no sax,no horns, strings, bells, volins, xlyphone and other animated instruments.

just mainly drums. with pop synths.

singing was awsome. and chrous was awsome. and steppin out was tho.

i say that guru from gangsta jazzmatazz series is the best produced hip hop album series of all time.

and dj paul nad juicy j vol.1, vol.2 and vol.3 kings of memphis albums. based off the fact they took tape player material and turned it into damn near HD audio.

ad the samples, sampling chopping, beats, and dj mixes and vocals were mixed to perfection for 80s tape and a track materials. and sampling movies from actually old school tvs.

3. the drum rolls, snares rolls, the way dj paul and juicy j add about 4 samples to one track. and fused movie audio quotes, movie music,70s soul samples, 60s rock, and tv shows and made it into trap music and southern heavy bass hood musi.

I used to catch hell for playing that Cee-Lo album!

I never cared though. All my friends had heard was "Closet Freak" and then they clowned the album cover. The album itself was dope, as well as Mutant Mindframe.

Still listen to both from time to time.
