Aug 15 - Crypto Solana

Solana is up 58 percent in one month

visit this link https://www.theblockcrypt .. ychain-capital

Solana Labs raises $314 million in new funding led by A16z and Polychain Capital

Launched last year, Solana is seen as a competitor to Ethereum, which today remains the largest blockchain platform for decentralized projects and applications. Solana, however, is faster and cheaper than Ethereum for executing transactions.

Ethereum's current capacity is about 15 transactions per second. Solana's capacity, on the other hand, is around 50,000 transactions per second. As for cost, Ethereum's average fee per transaction is about $6, while Solana's is around $0.00001. (Ethereum's fees are expected to drop when it moves to a proof-of-stake system).

Justin Sun seems like a scammer. Rich af but there was a MKBHD video showing how I think Tron just tries to pay for celebrity endorsements in a tacky way.

Exactly right.

He is super rich and a top student of Jack Ma (one of the richest businessmen)

But hes a douchebag and has been caught repeatedly paying celebs to promote TRX as well as plagarizing another teams white paper and claiming it as his own

With all that being said u can still make money off him lol

Transacting on Solana's network is a BREEZE -- cheaper by a mile, faster, and more reliable than Ethereum. I was paying $80 to $120 per transaction on Ethereum's network, now I pay a fraction of a penny!

Not true. Its biggest advantage is being first.

speak some more, PLZ.

which tokens that are not based on ethereums code(erc20?) can handle smart contracts similar to ethereum? for example, I thought Cardano haters main talking point was/is that cardano been making promises for ages but cant deliver on smart-contracts similar to ethereum.

please kick some knowledge :-)

thx in advance!

peace!

Well, Solana's network just tapped out and stalled. And they're not even 1/6th of Eth's market cap.

There are several blockchains with smart contract capability.

We don't know which can actually handle the same number of transactions because, well, they don't have the volume... And most of the industry is obviously built on Ethereum.

Crypto moves fast but we won't know for at least a year or 2.

At some point you gotta jump in the game. All this damn stalling Charles does is just stupid.

If he wanted to write papers he should've just been a professor.

The Solana Network got overwhelmed (likely) by bots trying to get in on IDOs, similar to a DDOS attack take-down of a website. 400,000 transactions per second were attempting to be processed at one point. To put that into perspective, Visa does about 1,700 transactions per second (they claim 24k).

The Solana team has already written a patch and is rolling it out across the network. I believe over 50% of the nodes/validators have already installed it, and the network will be operational at 80%.

Not a good look for sure, but, personally, I will be taking advantage of any dip that occurs as a result of this.

I bet that was all planned like the Litecoin/Walmart situation

I'm debating to sell my best Jeter card to buy some more Solana and Cardano
