Goals for August 2021

1) Train 31 times.
2) Average 2000 calories w/ 250 grams of protein each day.
3) Walk 26 miles.
4) Lose 10 lbs, get to 224lbs.

Agitated my back for waaaay too much volume and intensity last week. Because of that, need to do a massive backoff and slowly using this month to reintroduce the loads back. Sadly, this month will be mainly for reintroducing weight back for squats and deadlifts.

As for bench, goal is to back my triples and doubles for my working sets into the 300's finally. Managed to do 5 sets of triples at 290 lb last week, so that's a major PR for me.
Getting back to my normal squat and deadlift routines has continued to be a struggle….

But able to finally squat as have as 335 at 5 reps without pain again. But will continue to work my way up slowly each week. Deadlifts are about the same as well. I hate it because my body WILL tell me that it’s not ready for the loads pre-injury by giving that lovely “tweak” feeling, if you want what I’m talking about. Whenever I feel that, I immediately drop set.

As for bench, I’ve been able to focus heavily on that. Working with 275# for working sets of 5, and 315# for singles, and 290# for doubles and triples.

Goal for August:
- just get back to my normal routines for deadlift and squat.
- slowly increase volume for bench. Next goal in sight is 4 plates. That could be years away though. So goal for this month is to increase volume for doubles to 300#, and singles to 325# by the end of the month.

Get in the gym atleast 3 days out of the week. Work on mobility and getting quality reps in, lowering the weight stay away from the heavy weights. I have a lat strain and I dont want to prolong recovery.

Been building my traps more and trying to rep 235 stuck on like 2-3 reps. Covid had your boy falling off

But I’m back training consistently 5 days on two rest days. If I were y’all I’d start building an at home gym because you know they gon shut us down again.

Try to key word “try” stairmaster for 15 min or I cycle ive got a herniated disc in my back so cardio k*lls me at the end

Current supplements creatine,bcaa,multivitamin,protein

Current weight 205 trying to get to 185 lean and cut

Work out at least 3 times a week

Get to 215 lbs.(currently hovering around 207)

Get in 60 miles on the bike

Get up to 5 reps 200lbs on bench. ( I just hit 185 4 times today)

Clearly I’m tryna build strength. Good luck out there fellas

no specific goals, stopped worrying about strength and just grinding out strong lifts worrying about numbers and focused on athletic workouts instead about two months ago and its the best decision ive ever made. no nagging injuries, no being too sore, no dreading workouts wondering if ill be able to hit my numbers for the day and feel like im in the best shape of my life. even getting above the rim playing ball for the first time again since I was 20-21

gonna keep going and just see where it takes me. calisthenics and plyometrics>>>>>>>

Its gonna be hard to bulk/addweight and get abs G. Try that 5x5 squat bench deadlift split 3 days a week. I went up from 225 5x5 to 325 5x5 in about 2 months. I weigh195

Gyms opened back up finally in the last 3 weeks.. I've taken 2 rest days since the gym reopened, after about 6 months off. Already approaching my lifts from last December.. Muscle memory is an amazing thing.

Goals for August:

- Continue to get 5/6 lifts in per week.
- Get 5/6 days of walking or some form of cardio in per week
- Start cutting to get ready for Labor day weekend (boat parties gonna be wild)

Goals for August:

- back to pre-Covid 5 mile runs (currently 3.5)
- add ~200 punches and ~ 90 kicks to heavy bag days
- 400 sit ups and push ups/day (target 500 each)

A Non understands that COVID may cut down his gym time, and the heat makes outdoor running very difficult. Nevertheless....

-Half marathon completed (Best distance this year was 9.75 miles)
-4000yd swim before Labor Day (currently averaging 2000yds twice a week)
-Dumbbell upper body workout during the NFL preseason
-No Uber Eats or Alcohol (Averaging 16 fried chicken wings a day and two bottles of wine a week)
-Jump Rope Daily; 20 minute sessions immediately after legs
-20 rounds a week on the heavy bag
-Watch an entire season of anime from the treadmill

A Non has a very decent home gym and leg program but it isn't consistent as it should be. Should be hitting squats harder and using the jump rope after deadlifting and squatting. At this time, A Non's focus is on strength and explosiveness rather than basic cardio but he will still aim to run 10 miles a week.
