The cinematography in this sh*t is amazing, it’s a real pleasure to look at it. My favorite Pitt performance is probably in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood or as Floyd, my favorite weed head character of all time in True Romance.

I agree one of my favorite westerns with some of my favorite actors brad pitt, casey affleck, sam rockwell, and jeremy renner.

The part where brad pitt shows up unexpectedly after they k*lled his brother (i think it was his brother) but that scene had me nervous like if i was also involved lol.

I have it on dvd tried to play it the other day but it wouldnt play was so dissapointed.

in my top 3 for best cinematography ever. Not a frame that isn't stunning.

The movie itself is underrated, theres something about it that keeps it from being mentioned in the upper echelon but its a dope movie.

I always bring this movie up on here, when the topic is about underrated movies, or anything to do with cinematography.

One of the most beautifully shot films I've seen, probably ever. The score and all the amazing shots really does a good job with immersing the audience. Wish it had won 'Best Cinematography', but it had to go up against 'There Will Be Blood' and 'No Country for Old Men, which I personally think it was the best of the three in that category.

Amazing movie.

Some find it boring, but I guess it's kind of based off what you like in movies. It's not your typical guns blazin', heavily action oriented type of western; but more so a movie that examines the characters on psychological level.

Slow but perfect in every way, acting, cinematography, pacing, plot, dialogue:

Ed Miller : I was with a girl once. Wasn't a squaw, but she was purty. She had yellow hair, like uh... oh, like something.

d*ck Liddil : Like hair bobbed from a ray of sunlight?

Ed Miller : Yeah, yeah. Like that. Boy, you talk good.

d*ck Liddil : You can hide things in vocabulary.

Ed Miller : Maybe you and me could writer her a note, send it by post?

d*ck Liddil : See, all you gotta do, Ed, is predict her needs and beat her to the punch.

Ed Miller : Well, this girl, she had a real specific job.

d*ck Liddil : Specific?

Ed Miller : We's only together once. She's afraid of lightning. She came up into the wagon and just cuddled right up to me. She gave me a kind price, too.

d*ck Liddil : Well I'll be! That is specific.

No more than 7-8 films I've watched 10+ times (Dark Knight, T2, Lock Stock, Pulp Fiction, Godfather 1 & 2, Citizen Kane, Scarface). This one of them.

You wanna see a slow movie, peep winter's bone, fine movie but you couldn't pay me to watch it a second time.

Me and my homies always talk about western movies as a kid i hated western movies no action so i thought they were boring but once i got older i started appreciating the genre alot more and like i mentioned on my post jesse james has to be my favorite.

Put this movie on a few days back in the background and I was out in 5 minutes.

Highly recommend this to my fellow bx insomniacs.

There Will Be Blood doesn’t stay slow. It was a progressive slow burn culminating with an explosion.
