Not a good album as a total body of work, but absolutely a classic if you look at it as a moment.

His moment at that time was some other sh*t

Tha Carter 2 much better but Wayne was the hottest he ever been when that album came out plus his mixtapes/features were straight fire around that time. No one could match his 16’s back then...

Time definitely flew by...

I graduated from 5th Grade around that time.

I remember when those C3 Leaks were out. DJs were eating off that until Wayne out em on blast.

Those sh*ts are still on DatPiff and LiveMixtapes.

My favorite song off Tha Carter III would be Mr. Carter.

Wayne had me and cats all over screaming Soo-Woo as a kid. Mom told me to stop saying that.

13 years later and its being talked about, influenced an entire generation of rappers and still has plenty of songs that get play to this day. I dont know why yall so adamant in arguing that its not a classic when it clearly is.

It's nearly a classic "commercial" album. Lollipop, A Milli and Mrs Officer were some of his best singles for a reason.

I remember being the only one where I'm from who thought that album was a*s. Still do

Was heated because I LOVED C1 and C2. Was one of the first n*ggas in my school up on C1 and put mad n*ggas on

To me C3 was the beginning of people pretending to like some sh*t because it was expected. Like if you didn't have C3, act like you thought it was fire, and had a bunch of AIM away messages from the lyrics people was looking at you funny.

He made due considering da actual Carter 3 leaked (carter 3 sessions) and still capitalised.

Nothing on me is my favorite joint on it...

The body of wrk as a whole isn't good. It has everything of the makings of a classic, time, feel, wayne at his highest except the actual music.

FACTS. C1 and C2 was wayne at his best including the mixtapes during that time. For some odd reason after the carter 3 dropped the decline began.

It's borderline classic you can argue it is and you can argue it isn't but people saying it isn't a great album are delusional trust
