I was in fye over the weekend, and I heard the cashier get a phone call. He walks to the back and he’s looking at the rap cds, and the caller was looking for khaled’s “father of asad” album…hahahaha

First time I ever saw (or heard) of someone checking for his albums

Because they’re like soundtracks. Soundtracks use to be highly popular when I was coming up. You get new music from a lot of popular artists on one disc. There aren’t many soundtracks dropping nowadays so Khaled fills that void. Also most of his music is usually above average radio single quality music.

Damn y’all still got FYE? Lol our mall shut that down.

and places like target only sell artists they know will sell. So it be like 7 different CDs in the music section. Eminem, Ariana grande, taylor swift, adele etc lol

I don’t like the fact that khaled ruined the art and anticipation for collabs. Before him, collabs were BIG. Listening to a song and waiting to hear the eminem feature, or Ludacris’ verse like “ooooh sh*t xyz got ludacris on here!!!”

Now since khaled been putting out 15-20 songs with everyone on it, it’s like whatever. He really think he’s a mastermind with it too. As if he the only one who can get rappers to link up.

He done ran that sh*t in the hole. Oh he got Durk and lil baby on a track..... bruh they had music out together already. I like that he he’s all about unity, but god damn. I thought this was a one time thing with his first album.

The fan base who buy his music are the same losers who follow his Snapchat, Insta etc religiously.

I’m sure most of his sales come from streaming numbers. Everyone at least flicks through a Khaled album when it drops.

I can’t stand him. But I always flick through his albums when they drop

Hahahahaha…I live in Virginia, and the fair oaks mall in fairfax still has a fye that’s open. Space is relatively small compared to their peak.

But I gained some good degree of respect for what he does after seeing his Hot 97 interviews.

I think this is the one.

He actually explains what he does, I think. It sounds like he did.

If you got jay z and nas together on a track on your album, your job is to make sure the beat is fire. That sh*t was the same beat as song cry. Wtf does this n*gga do exactly

Most DJs who drop albums have done the exact same thing. Khaled isn't breaking new ground by having albums filled with collabs with artists who may or may not have worked together

Khaled is the most well known, but he wasnt the first and won't be the last

Khaled has good singles...

His Greatest Hits album' would be a good compilation though.

I'd rather listen to DJ Drama's albums instead. His albums are more street

Gangsta Grillz: The Album>>>> all of Khaled's albums.

The first Gangsta Grillz album felt like a mixtape.

Yea but those were mixtapes, khaled does this on a mainstream level to where you WILL hear it. And he uses all the popular n*ggas. U know lil baby on a track will get plays.

The other DJs do it for the streets. Khaled winning grammys

We The Best had that heat...

He even managed to make a sequel to the New York song with Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and Jadakiss.

Funny enough, he was talkin bout 50 when it came to that Unity part.
