its worth it aslong as youre not paying r*pe prices for your video card.

I built a new gaming pc last month, ryzen 7 3700x, rtx 3070, was lucky and grabbed the 3070 from my local microcenter after they sold all the 3080s.

upgraded from a i5 6600k & gtx 970; the upgrade feels glorious.

Gets the job done at 1440p. Been looking for a 3060ti/3070 for months now, can't find sh*t. Probably going to upgrade my CPU this summer if I find one of those cards.

Got a 1700 and a 1070ti. Was really disappointed with how it struggled with Rdr2. I want to do a new build but those gpu prices made that impossible.

I don't have one. I keep saying I'm gonna build one and have gone thru PC Parts Picker and picked multiple ones out I'm honestly just too lazy to do it right now.

Lazy isn't the right word I just work too much and feel lazy when I'm off

Building a PC now is easy as hell, but having parts available (and at msrp) is the hard part. I watch PC Centric vids a lot because dude has a goofy/nerdy take on reviews, but pretty informative albeit bias. I'd say 60-70% of his content are build videos, so he's a good source to get a good overview of that.

Literally it's unbox mobo, install ram, install nvme (if using), install cpu, install mobo in case, install fans, install hdd (if using), connect front io to mobo, install aio radiator (if using one), apply thermal paste to cpu, install cpu fan or aio block, plug necessary power cables into psu, install psu in case, plug power cables into necessary areas on mobo, cable management on case backside, plug gpu into mobo, plug psu pcie cables into gpu. Plug the PC into the wall, flip the switch on the psu, power on the PC and look for a post.

My first build took me like 7 hours or so because I was being hella careful reading all the documentations and sh*t; also making sure I was grounded to avoid sending a static shock to my components. Since then, I can do a build in like 2 hours tops; hour and a half normally if it's a bunch of parts I'm familiar with.

Unfortunately right now the best way to get a new amd or nvidia gpu with out getting seriously r*ped is to buy a prebuilt system.

This exactly.

It's actually almost worth it to buy a prebuilt, strip it of a couple parts, throw the rest out and put them in your current build.

Been looking for a 3080 for over 2 years smfh

Ps5 same thing... and they keep advertising games like I can fu*king play them

sh*t pisses me off

crazy thing is the prebuilt i bought is damn near identical spec wise to what i already had.

I just upgraded mine. 10700K with 64 GB of G Skill but still rocking my tried and true 1080ti. Hoping to cop a 3080TI but highly doubt it.

Hopefully yours doesn't look like mine. It looks like a city with most of the power out. And if you don't want headaches please do not get this AIO.

Doing the RGB is an absolute nightmare. But this MB is fire!

Just don't do what I did and spend 2 weeks trouble shooting it only to find out that you blew up your old PSU and had the CPU rites the wrong way.
