When Will Lebron Ever Have A Great Team Without Him?

Lets be real, at some point, we have to agree that this isn't fair. The oldest player who actually gets playing time was born in 1984. Thats the same year Lebron was born. The difference is the that the oldest person who has to carry their team besides Lebron was born in 1988 (Steph Curry)! Now, I understand Lebron created the player made Super Team, but lets look at a few things. He is known as the most durable athlete, but now he's breaking down a bit. That's contributed to him not being able to sitdown to chill and his team still win! Imagine if he actually had a team who could keep winning when he's not there like Brooklyn without KD or Harden or Kyrie...or like the Clippers can without PG or Kawhi. He would probably be fresh enough to continue balling hard until 45! Without LBJ, Wade and Bosh had a losing record, lost in the 2nd rd and then got traded that next year. They couldn't carry a team...His 2nd stint in Cleveland, Kyrie and Love couldn't carry the team. 1st year with the Lakers, Kuz, Lonzo, BI couldn't carry the team. Now with the Lakers, AD, Schroder cant carry the Lakers. People say that Bron is the system and thats the reason they lose without him. So is it an indictment on the coaches or the other "superstar" players? Lets talk about it because people were acting like the Lakers were good and real ball guys know they were never good because they never had 1 person who could put the ball in their hands and take over consistently. LBJ's teams gotta be able to win without him.

His teams are built to thrive with him in the fold. They're built AROUND him not to be successful without him. His teams are picked for him to be the primary driver...

The heat finished 3rd in the eastern conference with an aging wade and bosh

That was the only team that was really left intact somewhat when he left. Usually the sh*t gets blown up and they dont even replace him with anybody

I honestly don't think that that's how his teams are picked. If they were built AROUND him, his teams would have more shooters and scorers. Building a team that can't be successful without him is a recipe for disaster and I can't believe all these GMs are that stupid! Building around a player is simply just building a good team. Part of the gift and curse of players like him and Westbrook is everything they bring to the table. Lets stick with LBJ. He isn't a great shooter but he's always the best scorer and passer on his team. Thats really not good. He shouldn't ever lead the team in a*sists and at this stage, he shouldn't be leading the team in points either! If you alone, generate 70% of your teams total points, you're team is fu*ked! The reason the 96 Bulls worked so well, for example, is because Mj only led the team in scoring and sometimes stls. Pip led the team in asts and sometimes stls, but he could also lead them in scoring if needed. Same with MJ with asts, if needed. Then you had Rodman, who led the team strictly in rebs. Also, both of them could manage the game but didn't need to because they had Harper. They didn't have to worry about scoring when they sat down because they had Kukoc. You unplug MJ and you go from 57 wins to 55 wins...without THE GOAT, you only lose 2 more games. Even without MJ in 94-95, they still had a winning record.

Yeah, they had a losing record the 1st season without LBJ then won 48 games the next season to finish 3rd for sure. Thing is, these folks were aging when Lebron got there because of injuries but no one says that. On the other hand, how can we call them aging when Wade was 34, younger than LBJ is now when he is still expected to be the #1 option. I get Bosh retired but even if that never happened, he was only 31 and on the way downhill. BTW, that 15-16 Heat team added Joe Johnson, Stoudomire and had a hooping Dragic and Whiteside.

They missed the playoffs the year after he left and 2 of next 3 after 4 finals runs. He band-aided a lot of holes on that squad especially after Wade fell off the “athletic” cliff

No bosh was injured and wade was aging...second al I see was a bunch of excuses. Ots actually a perfect representation of brons teams...the year after he left bosh only played half a season and wade missed about a third. Thats usually what happens to bron trams..they get dismantled. Had that happen yall would say "look bron left tand they won 30 games" but then they come back the next year and get the 3 seed lls

They didn't make the playoffs the next season and lost in the 2nd rd the year after that. They weren't that good! They did do a good job at rebuilding tho. To clarify, Lebron had a terrible series vs Dallas right, just like Shaq had a terrible series vs Dallas. Difference is, Wade stepped way up and kicked a*s. That didn't happen in 2011

Yes, they were the 3 seed and lost in the 2nd rd. Then they traded Wade. I'm saying that Wade shoulda still been able to put in work like we expected Lebron to do at that same age. It is what it is though. Ron Artest stepped up against Boston when Kobe played trash. No one was able to do that with Lebron...Til this day!

Makes sense...for some reason, MJ gets no hate for his team being great without him. Matter fact, he gets praised. He showed everyone how much a team actually means!

i mean i guess you just have too high of standards for what you consider good

they missed the playoff because bosh missed half the season then the season after that they were good enough to win a playoff series. . .so to me they were a good team even without lebron

You just started with excuses tho lol. And 50 games was all Wade was playing at the end with Lebron too. It’s funny how the East is so weak only when talking about Lebron. Dude had the Heat in the finals with a hurt Wade or an injured Bosh in 2012, then had the Cavs in the finals Rather Kyrie or Love played or not. And that same Heat team that missed the playoffs would’ve been in the finals had Lebron stayed. That Cav team he got to the finals had both Kyrie and Love hurt basically all that postseason
