The Warriors Was A Masterpiece...

image

My second favorite Rockstar game behind San Andreas and the best movie turned game adaptation ever (imo).

I remember I borrowed it from a friend in school and was easily hooked. Had to cop and winded up copping it again due to scratching the disc from playing it too much. image

I was in love with the game so much that it actually made me go buy the DVD just to watch the movie for the first time which is also a classic.

The only flaws of the game really is it's relatively short and the free roam is pretty limited. Other than that the stories leading up to the big meet were great, every mission is a joy (even the flashback ones), the combat for each character were wonderfully diverse, the dialogue was funny as hell, and you can even train inside the hangout. Even the arcade missions that you unlocked were fun...

Here are some of my favorite missions by the way...

I remember running through this with one of my best friends when we did security watch for my old congregation. Joint had a bunch of great fillers left out of the movie.

Game is too dope. Did an incredible job of giving a backstory and integrating it with the original story. They gave my n*gga Cleon the shine he truly deserved.

Would love to have a remake.

Bruh facts. I always hated how Cleon didn't make it alive in the movie for us to really get to know him. They did a good job of introducing him and then bam, he's dead.

Sucks, cause his role was suppose to be bigger, but he had another movie to shoot, and they didn't want to renegotiate his contract.

I'm at least glad they got the same homie that played him, to do the voice; after gettin' fu*ked over like that.

Just recently beat this again a couple months ago

It aged well

The combat is complex and simple at the same time.

The A.I is challenging but not OP (overpowered)

The story, the environment, the music, man this game was/is rediculously great.

I would like a beat am up game similar to this on current gen.

It really is. Probably top 5 in most hours clocked in a game for me, and the warriors ain't even long like that. Probably ran through a few levels a couple times per week for 3 years straight, and in not even lying. I remember buying the game senior year, then watching the movie and both became among my all time favorites immediately. I even started calling myself Ajax when I used to makes beats and mixes. Probably the best game based movie ever.

One of the best games during that generation. Rockstar PS2 era was one of the greatest runs.

- Warriors
-Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, San Andreas
-Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories
-Man Hunt 1, 2
-Midnight Club 1,2, 3 Dub Edition
-Max Payne 1 and 2
-Bully

Damn thinking back on the feeling of playing some of these games for the first time……
