Canseco implies McGwire was a better power hitter then Griffey Jr.

He is a snitch and took ped's obviously, but did bring up some valid points

Cliffs

Says McGwire hit 49 home runs in 87 while still skinny, not on roids
Says Mark would of broke home run record without taking them
Says A's ball park wasn't home run friendly and had a ton of foul territory
Which took AT Bats away from them, that would be foul balls in other parks
Says they would hit more HR's playing in the Kingdome (Griffey's park)
Says Griffey's home runs dropped after leaving the park

It's a Vlad video, so left cliffs, if you don't want to give views, I normal do the same lol. Haven't heard from Jose in a while, so gave in

Griffey was hurt most of the time on the Reds, so take some of that with a grain of salt. But he did bring up some interesting points tbh

If that was the case, why Mark took the roids in the first place?

This could be Canseco again trying to regain some type of friendship with McGwire, McGwire doesnt fu*k with him every since the book.

McGwire was hurt a lot in the early to mid 90's also.

Griffey had the better swing but doesnt mean it made him better.

Honestly was just grateful for growing up watching the bash bros. cuz the A's are difficult to watch these days

To be fair it’s impossible to really know who did and didn’t take what. McGwire got caught with stuff in his locker that was legal at the time. All I’ll say is tho...

That's a dumb way to refute it...Barry was an amazing hitter before the roids.

Griffey the GOAT though

Maybe, stricrly hitting for power. But Griffey was an overall much better hitter with one of the sweetest swings you've ever seen. Pause.

the year barry hit 73, he would have 80-90 if he played in coors field

He would’ve hit 100 if they pitched to him too

That’s coming for a dodgers fan too

Griffey hit 49 in 99 the first year of Safeco

McGwire almost broke the home run record three times before actually doing so in 98

It's like trying to nitpick Prime Time's tackling Mark Mcgwire and Jose Conseco couldn't touch Griffey on their best days combined

Jose Canseco was one of my favorite athletes as a kid. His rookie card was worth thousands in the late 80s

I value the sound of a coffee can dropping on the floor more than I do Cansecos voice.

Bonds used to get walked with the basses loaded also lol. It is kind of interesting to know what some players numbers would of looked like/ not looked like playing in different parks. Weather, distance of fences, foul territory, protection in the lineup are all sh*t that altered a lot of players stats.

That's honestly facts, though. I can't remember if it was '97 or '98, but McGwire and Sosa both had this insane homerun hitting season. It made me somewhat a fan to watch baseball for a change, both were chasing that HR title and it was entertaining to see!

I agree power hitter, some of those bombs were over 500ft. Griffey though..man what a swing. I agree with what was said before, to me it was better when they were juicing.

Yup, and baseball is kind of hypocritical trying to ignore that era of baseball pretty much. After the lockout, they were more than happy to reap the benefits of fan interest. Not like their going to donate to charity all the extra revenue they generated during that time. Imagine taking your kid to the baseball hall of fame, and trying to explain to them why Edgar Martinez a DH (great hitter) has a plaque but not Bonds, Clemens, or McGwire lol

Bonds was kind of a d*ck obviously to the media, but can see why he doesn't want to give in to the cornballs that vote for the HOF. Can't play the morale card, when racist and players that didn't play against all races are chilling in their. I like what he said to them here

Neither one of them could tie Griffey’s shoes on his worst day

Reds Griffey was just as good as both of them in their primes
