Got a collection from the 70s to when lebron came into the league. Made a hell of a trade with my best friend in 94 for a jordan card that was worth 550 at that time I let him pick 11 cards out of my collection and the best card he picked was a Patrick Ewing card lol. Sad part is all those cards are just sitting in my basement in binders.

I dont invest per say. I used to just buy whenever I was in target and let the collection stack. Run back to it every 3 or 4 years and sell what's worth my time. I do collect though. Right buying packs is out of hand. People camping outside stores the night before like they're Jordans. Resell market is HOT. Bots taking over general releases from Panini and Topps too. I buy singles here and there the last couple of years and haven't hit anything remotely worth what I used to. We're in a trading card bubble though. The top companies are churning out cards like water, Topps just went public, and investors will eventually move onto something else. I'd hate to get caught holding on to something and the floor falls out from underneath it.

I was dead a*s thinking bout making a thread about cards....I have my collection from the 90's and just recently got back into it...I have 2 Brett Favre rookies I want to get graded....I have a 1998 sealed Upper Deck box getting delivered tonight, hoping for something good....want that Peyton rookie

I've never sold anything, about to start tho....been googling what my cards are worth, I have a pretty expensive Barry Sanders and two identical valuable Michael Jordan's...gotta see what they worth

Got a mean Kobe I need to get graded

Went to Target this morning cause they only sell on Friday's at 8 cause of the high demand, thought it was first come first serve...my a*s went in the side door while everybody else was waiting at the main one...thought I had hit jackpot...got to the cards and dude says "my man, it's a line downstairs for these"...I wanna collect but I ain't doing all that, I'll continue to get mine online

No......
because that's for idiot losers who can't afford a television to watch these players.
Nothing special about them, they're just grown men living their second child hood.

Ebay is the site everyone uses to compare the price of cards, basically what they are being sold for. If you live in a rural area you may get lucky to get some from Walmart/Target.

Very true statement. They're essentially just printing money. The key is to hold about 5 players who's value will go up, Zion, Lamelo, Rookie LeBron etc but only if you can get them at a good price. The bubble will burst and the hold will be 5 or 10 years. Great observation though. 💯

Early 90s is called the "junk card" Era because there was a card boom like it is now. They just printed printed and printed cards. Those Topps Rookie Kobe's '96 in perfect condition are selling for thousands. Check what you are holding.
