I remember when he first came on the scene and Game was getting a lot of hype/fame from his affiliations with G-Unit, I thought Lil E was also next as it put the spotlight back on Compton and the West Coast again. However, Game got into beef with G-Unit and Lil E dissed Game for riding Eazy E's coattails and appeared on some G-Unit mixtapes making more diss tracks to Game. I felt that kind of ruined Lil E's momentum along with constantly living in the shadows of Eazy-E which he could never fill.

it was bigger than that also, back then it was cool to be a blood, Baby/Wayne were claiming blood, Jim Jones, the Game.
the Crips, ESPECIALLY the compton crips were blackballed from the music industry over the tupac incident. there was never another popping compton crip rapper until Roddy hit the mainstream
