Vince carter. Antawn Jamison was the prize draft piece, but raps flipped him to golden state for his athletic, but not as skilled teammate.

Wade was a much better nba player. Heat took him way higher than projected, but no one noticed since the focus was mostly on lebron and Carmelo coming off his championship at Cuse.

Any raptor draft pick in the second round/I drafted addition. Team has an eye for gems.

Easily Donovan Mitchell. No one else had zero hype coming out of college on that list. Jordan won a chip, hit the game winner, people labeled Ben the next bron, zion was touted as the next coming of transcendent talent, and lamelo was touted as a high prospect. I didn't see any hype around Donovan.
I met his agent Aron Mintz before and chopped it up with him. He even said no one at CAA agency saw Mitchel taking off like that. It just shows you what the perfect situation can do for you

Off top my head:

Devin Booker
Zach Lavine

Both came of the bench in College.

KD was putting up crazy numbers at UT. I remember watching him thinking how could Oden go #1 over him

Oden had a career record of like 200-3 at the time
3 straight hs championships
Led ohio state to the finals
He was the truth
His body couldnt hold up
Even with that being said KD was too good to pass up

I'm surprised nobody said james Harden...

And don't make the excuse because he was drafted #3 overall.

Nobody saw this from Harden, not even OKC.

You can also say Russell Westbrook too. Nobody saw this from at UCLA.

LaMelo was in the pros when he played overseas

Secondly he looked just as good as he does now on the court. Only difference was his shot wasn't falling as consistently because he was getting used to living life in australia with no family around

Dude was averaging 17, 8, and 7 in Australia, but was shooting 25%. However if you take away the crazy three point shots he was attempting he was shooting around 47% from the field and still had weak body at the time.

Only PURE CASUALS and RACIST CASUALS who hated LAvar Ball said he would be a bust
But most people in general said the same thing about all 3 brothers. That Zo and Liangela would be busts. Everyone said that Lamelo was going to succeed. You predicted that CP would beat the Rockets in the Off's, then blamed refs when CP choked.

If im not mistaken, Luther Head and Dee Brown were the stars of the team and Deron Williams came off the bench. Both were also considered better prospects than Deron at the time as well. Deron played well during the tourney, but I would argue he greatly exceeded expectations his during his tenure with Jazz.

Nah, Deron was regarded the highest of the three but if you watched the games and didn't know that you'd think guys like Luther Head and Dee Brown were the main dudes.

He was drafted before Chris Paul, who was highly regarded at the time. I do agree that Deron surpassed his expectations though.

Nahhhhhh. KD was generational off rip. So was Oden. if Oden stayed healthy he would've been a beast.

The stuff KD was doing at Texas was DIFFERENT!!!!

Huh deron Williams was drafted 3rd for a reason
He was the youngest of the bunch and the main reason Illini were undefeated up to the championship game and he hit the big shots in the tourney

Dee brown was a bum in utah
And luther head was a small role player in Hpuston
Thats my team
Deron williams was great in college
