What was your biggest loss? What do you know now that you wish you did before? What is your goal for crypto investments? Are you above the principal you started with? Are you out completely?

What coins did you dump in on?

I'm currently eyeing Reef Finance (reef) & CHZ

As far a loss, fortunately nothing too major.. Just missed opportunities to take profit when I should have, like that bull run in February, I should have took more profit than I did.

Don't know what you bought. But I run a 3 tier portfolio for crypto

1st tier- Bitcoin and Ethereum. All profits go to these. I don't sell or trade these at all
2nd tier: litecoin, cardano, chainlink. These I will trade for profits/coins. I hold about 25% of what I hold in tier 1 in terms of $$
3rd tier: Algorand and hedera hashgraph. These are longshot plays. Very cheap in terms of price. I limit my exposure to these and trade more often for profit/coins. Buy on major dips sell on rips.

Been in since mid-Feb, doubled my investment so far on about a dozen coins. The only loss I've taken so far is on LYM, I don't know if it will bounce back but I'm only out about $100 so far. I'm also consistently even on my WAXP position, but I know it'll pump long term. Other than that, I listened to some bad advice to sell VRA at .015. I got in under a penny. Pumped to .04 almost overnight. Moral of the story: do your research, trust your instincts, and don't twiddle your thumbs.

So I'm cheating a little bit and am leveraging some blood relatives that have been in the game for a while to manage most of the 3K i dumped in there while I join strategy calls and research sh*t to get up on the game myself. One of the coins I'm in is called FTM. I'm targeting emerging coins with potential and also putting some, money to try and get in on the wild side of crypto swing trading. I got 1 relative that does a less risky form of crypto investment and another that is in the wild west shootout of the swing trading. Neither have gone below principal and have made significant returns on it. I may have missed the wild year of 2020 which saw crazy returns or losses for many, but as long as the long term chart reads in the green, I'm good.

Yea, I know Crypto is technically still called investing and sh*t but it is a different universe than the regular stock trading. Timing is different, swings are different, candlesticks are different, all that sh*t. Best to treat it like its own thing. I'm tryin be like yo a*s and get a come up asap lol.

Lol yeah bro now is the time to jump in. April might get crazy with all the developments lately.

I went with an aggressive short term growth strategy picking off coins under .01 that look like they have potential. Made a k*lling on BTT, OMI and WIN so far. Now I'm beginning to transition into some low price coins (.01 to .10) I'm eyeing for long-term plays. I'm also covering my a*s a little with a few promising coins that I know won't fall off a cliff.

Eventual goal is to roll profits into a big ETH bag.

I studied international banking and econ for my undergrad degree and flipped into tech like 5 years ago. Long story. Anyways, I told my peoples, treat the money I gave you like your own. Both are my older cousins by blood that I grew up with close anyways. I told them, if you gotta pull my sh*t out, do it, don't hit my line looking for approval for every little thing. I need yall to be able to move quick without feeling the need or worried about having to get my approval for every micro transaction. First we family, second of all, I'm learning game off of yall. 3rd this sh*t is the market, we know people win cuz others lose so I know I can lose some sh*t and whatever, there's more stacks don't worry.

I ain't looking for no home runs, just supplemental income. The idea is maybe in the not so distant future, instead of it being the extra to the job/employer's income I'm getting, the job then becomes the extra if you know what i mean.

1. Biggest L. Buying Nano at $9. I lost a whole bitcoin on that so every year the L just gets bigger and bigger. That's prolly gonna be a 500k L one day.
2. Always have a profit taking strategy. And when you take profit, after you've paid yourself back your original investment, ape the rest of your profits into bitcoin and leave a small amount into your alt.
3. 2,000,000 is the magic number.
4. Yeah. I'm up close to 45x what I originally put in.
5. I'll never be completely out, once I hit that magic number I'm gonna leave a mill parked into crypto.

I still don't really understand the logic of investing in Crypto. Anybody got a logical explanation?

I thought it was a currency that should be used for spending. I wouldn't invest in Pesos or Euros or nay other Global Currency, so why do people invest in Crypto?

People are investing in cryptos because they are limited supply currencies. Governments and banks can't just print out money on a whim.

But it's still currency at the end of the day right? It's meant to be spent, not really invested in. If you wanna make money, it seems like it makes way more sense to invest in a high yield savings account or an IRA or Roth IRA or really anything else over Crypto.

I might be wrong, IMO it just doesn't seem like a come up like people seem to think. It might be a good investment for Crypto Miners but not average Joe's.

I keep a couple hundred dollars in Crypto for my sports streaming sites. I haven't made sh*t since I last renewed last July.

Bro just like most things in life you gotta have money to make money. 500 is a good start but as usual $500 4 years ago is worth a lot now so it gonna take a while to grow but if you’re patient you will be happy one day.

As someone that's been in the game since ~2013, my advice is stop thinking about Bitcoin in terms of US dollars and you'll be much better off. Convert as much of the funny money (fiat) to Bitcoin as humanly possible, put it all in an offline hardware wallet, forget about it and you'll thank yourself in 10 years.

Been saying this exact same thing to friends and family for years and they just won't listen. The value of the US dollar continues to go down every single day while the value of Bitcoin (not just the price) continues to increase every day because it's backed by math and computing power, while the US dollar is backed by absolutely nothing

BTC will overtake gold and become the world's preferred store of value which would place it's market cap around $10 trillion and the price of Bitcoin $500,000

Don't be left holding a bag of monopoly money
