I think Nas had issues with 9th wonder remixing God's son album

Little brother had talked about 9th wonder and his..."bs"

I know at one point 9th was begging Nas to pick some of his beats when he was working on an album and Nas kinda blew him off

I mean...

If the n*gga doesn't like the beats then he doesn't like them

But ya i never heard that story before

All I know is that if 9th remixed gods son without asking/ letting nas know before hand, then I can see why Nas was like man fu*k that n*gga.

A lot of these rap n*ggas are divas but its still Nas's art.

Respect the art

It was around 2011 when Nas was starting to work on his 10th album (which ended up being Life Is Good). There was an interview where 9th was excitedly saying Nas picked a couple of his beats for his new album...ultimately none of those ended up making the album so 9th must’ve felt some type of way about it.

And God’s Son was such a personal album for Nas since his mom had just passed so he probably didn’t want people altering it in any way

Yeah he was aligning himself with Jay on some double agent sh*t at that time... Nas wasn't having that sucka sh*t, even beyond the unauthorized remix album, lol!

9th still salty about this. to be fair if this was supposed to be for Life Is Good I can see what it didn't make the album. Beat is great but didn't fit the album sonically. Is it a beat Nas would've destroyed? Absolutely but you know it's gotta hurt him that Nas still hasn't rapped over his sh*t but lately 9th's music has been a bit bland to me .

i love 9th wonder samples. but all his drums sound the same. and beats soudn the same. like lil john.

9th wonder uses the same drums, same beat patterns and same flow.

but he is better than heatmakerz tho.

He congratulated his friends, and didnít mention the guy he clearly doesnít fu*k with. Itís not that shocking and controversial

He didnít get on twitter and tell nas to suck his d*ck b.. he literally congratulated his homies, and n*ggas got sad about who he didnít congratulate. This sh*t is not news

He definitely comes off like a diva. Pete Rock does too.

And Bink.

Why are these producers so emotional?

You understand? Good for you cause I don’t

I never understood no bi*ch sh*t like “oh why didn’t you ask me if you could...”

Man shut the fu*k up. Want to stifle other n*ggas creativity. Same thing with Pete Rock and Lupe, acting like a little bi*ch over a sample that wasn’t even originally yours!

Were the n*ggas in cedar park asking James brown if they could freestyle over his break beats? Man get the fu*k out of here

I feel like it's entitlement. Since 9th is recognized as a great producer and has worked with legendary artist, he feels he should have worked with Nas because he's 9th Wonder.

But 9th's legend is no where near Nas Legend so he needs to fall back.
Just cause you got songs with Jay Z, Beyonce, & Kendrick don't mean Nas need to work with you. He prolly just not feeling his beats, and 9th gotta eat that.
