WOW
U taught me a very important lesson for FREE
but i can prove u wrong on this:
50 cent is the most hip hop rapper in the rap industry right now. Just hear 'Candy Shop' and u'll know what im talkin about. See my avy for evidence.

^^ can we say d!ckrider... and by the way candy shop is not a hiphop song i think 50 should have let Jessica Simpson have the track lol

"50 Bars"

50 Bars of pleasure 50 bars of pain
When I'm dead and gone n*ggaz gonna remember my name 50

[repeat]

Yo Black is flashy like Alpo gun happy like Pappy
Sneaky muthafu*ka remind me of n*gga that crack me
He aint the type you shoot dice with and win dog
Unless you want to get your a.ss layed out in gilmore
Yes we soldiers, remind me Troy and E-Bags
When they came through they hollored like 'What up Conrad?'
Grimey n*ggaz they loved to get gully
Summertime still had on black gloves and scullies
The Lex 450 pulled up that's Cornbread
Them n*ggaz from Philly would of called him an old head
But he an OG remind me of Chaz and Bump real low key
Sounded like he didn't know nothing about drama
For this money sh*t many men do trauma
Switchy walked in son, this bi*ch had the baddest a.ss
The bulletproof glass was rolled down on the S-Class
Heard in DC he kept mad blocks in order
Picture this a young n*gga gettin it like Rich Porter
Sonny came in for half a pit
He got knocked, he on lock still controllin' his block from constop
Pop pulled up in the CL5 his project changed
His man just got fu*king murked by Salene
Heard he got it in the range n*gga Bean popped one in his brain
Over some-thing took his watch and his chain
Country boys off the hook down there and Richmond main.
In the black 740 I sat, hat turned back
Bow down baby nelly singing my wrist blinging What!
I'm waiting on this n*gga Wise we lost for two pies
Son he smokin that sh*t I can see it in his eyes
Coming up wise emotions closed
Most buying round looking for wisemen toast
Benny hopped out the Esculade with a few thourough men from B-More
They sellin heroin in Maryland reverse back to Diesel
Killed like 4 fiends his popularity grew that only meant more cream
First it was him and his brother now he got a team
Went from 5 and a half grams to living the dream
City pulled up Goddamn you know his format
Bentley is all marble in the door and floor match
Got the gats out the stash box popped 2 glocks
Peace "All Eyez on Me" 2Pac
Everybody know he a boss he gotta floss
He on the same bullsh*t that sent Gotti up north
That's Dime in the blue ts stunting like he Nicky Barnes
He broke but he talk like he a Don
Homes hoppin out the Jag that's Max haitian cat
Kill a n*gga quick remind me of Haitian Jack
I peep his style son I know his stelo, He on the d-low
He smile at n*ggaz mumbling fu*k you in Creole
Heard war stories bout how he maneuver with the Ruger
Hold the iron horizontally and send shots through ya
Few n*ggaz tried to murk him, most them got fount
Some turnt away try to run they in wheelchairs now
Banks hopped out bulletproof this, bulletproof that
Bulletproof snorkel, bulletproof hat
Got out a Black hummer he blew 90 on that
Poppin mad sh*t like he gonna bulletproof that lets go

man you so right this aint rap this verse is so garbage sike if you dont think that verse it tight and 50 cant rap you either a hater, you dont want hate or you dont give him a chance its fine if you dont like him but dont say he cant rap

there is more to rap than words....sometimes it's just the way it flows.
if it flows it flows.....your right tho....i don't like 50. i don't think he flows
no disrespect to you tho! peace!

thats the thing though. he doesnt even spit anymore. 90% of his cd is bubble gum sh*t for TRL with catchy hooks and a hot beat

tell me why 50 cant release a song with hot lyrics with a catchy hook and a hot beat...

thats all any TRL fans care about is the catchyness, id really respect him more if he would release a first single with hot meaningful lyrics (cuz he can) and a catchy beat and hook

lol...love this thread...agree with the first post completely.

and to whoever said 50 ain't hip-hop, you're dead on. i'm so sick of people saying he is. is he a commercially successful artist? absolutely...does he sell? no doubt he sells...no rap artist besides Eminem sells like he does.

BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE'S HIP-HOP. Common, for example, is more hip-hop with his pinky finger than 50 is in his whole body. he isn't making the same numbers but he can stand true to the fact that he's a real artist...

my two cents.

but you know what i think he comes hard on a lot of album tracks but people dont listen because they dont like the singles but what about the mixtapes he has like month those are for true hip hop fans cause no teenybobbers will ever get a hold of it

the mixtapes are fine but he needs to focus on his album material cuz hearing him rap over a beat ive heard 100 times aint cuttin it anymore.

he needs to come hard and still find a way to get that catchy beat and hook. he gets my respect when he does something like that and stops bi*ching about ja rule and his singing cuz he did the same thing

50 cent needs to grow up period

examples - piggy bank and all his beefs cuz theyre not even real

i think the making money thing is good i respect that a lot but i think i respect the fact he makes all those mixtapes just as much because he goes out his way to let the fans get more material but all the other commercial artists dont make as many mixtapes as 50 but he gets the most hate by far on boxden

i respect him for the mixtape move too, but the way carries himself is very childish and i lose all respect i had for him when he goes reckless on rappers like he is a hiphop god

they always ask him

"how has this cd improved from ur previous"

-50 says "i have immatured a lot and grown"

i havent seen him grow yet except as a selfish business man who is only out to do him. that IS NOT RESPECTFUL

im waiting for him to grow up like he says he has

i cant judge his actions as a man but as a artist i think he is the truth he got like 10 new verses a month and 8 of them are hot but if he spit at somebody thats him i cant judge anothers mans life but i can judge another mans work and when it comes to the music 50 is the best out imo

everyone gotta see the bigger picture cuz hip hop aint gonna be hip hop no more. the sh*t has changed drastically. hip hop is the hottest sh*t out their right now and its only gonna get bigger. rappers ain't gonna come out tryn to spit that lyrical sh*t no more the gonna do like everyone else in the world and try to get that paper. people like common talib mosdef are a dying breed and their styles ain't gonna ever come back. face it hip hop is as commercialized as it can get, and we did this cuz we love it so much. what i'm tryn to say is love hip hop for what it is cuz it reached the top and we gotta keep it there.

WORDS FROM BAMBAATAA

"Hip Hop means the whole culture of the movement.. when you talk about rap..Rap is part of the hip hop culture..The emceeing..The djaying is part of the hip hop culture. The dressing the languages are all part of the hip hop culture. The break dancing the b-boys, b-girls ..how you act, walk, look, talk are all part of hip hop culture.. and the music is colorless.. Hip Hop music is made from Black, brown, yellow, red, white.. whatever music that gives you the grunt.. that funk.. that groove or that beat.. It's all part of hip hop...."
