Rewatching now after about 6 years and I really took for granted just how many great characters there are in this show.

Bunk, McNulty, Omar, Lester, D, Stringer, Chris, Bubbles, and Sobotka are my personal favorites, but if I have to pick one?




They somehow made a gay black man the most gangster character in TV history and it wasn’t overly forced. Even BX loves him. It was a good decision for this character IMO. One of the rare times it didn’t come off as disingenuous agenda pushing BS.

Side note: Lester is the most underrated character on the show. “Good police”. Top 3 for me.

Bodie he always was a beast and smarter than he looked he just never made it to the next level because of his ogs going to jail and getting murked and he went out like he lived A G!

Even though he was probably the most hated, I guess me growing up around organized crime in Chicago, he was the most spot on character for how n*ggas act when they get money and think they smarter than everybody else.
