Pop Smoke Was Bringing That "Grown Man" Vibe back to Hip Hop

That's the thing I noticed about dude, and liked about him. He had that real NY drip about him. As I said in another thread, too many of these dudes now seem like kids. In the days of the heavy hitters like Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z all them dudes came thru like Grown men even when they were young. That's what draws people in. People don't wanna see teeny boppers bopping around look like they just got home from school.

That grown man sh*t been gone from the game, and it's been on some kids sh*t. The biggest stars in hip hop always cater to both, not just the kids, but always grown folks.

I heard some other sh*t from dude, I think he was about to be big. He would have had to diversify from just that drill sh*t, but I think he could have easily did that, because I saw him freestyling, and homie look like he could rap on whatever style.

Hip Hop lost a star in the making man. Coulda been the next 50 or something, that's how I saw it.

I listen to all kinds of sh*t, but mainly hip hop. I'm not trapped in the 90's but I'm partial to 1998.

My favorite artists are Kanye, Royce, and Griselda (mainly Westside Gunn)

Pop Smoke's music was garbage and there's no point hyping him up just because he is dead now.

His last tape literally just dropped

That would be greedy of them to put out some BS just to capitalize on the moment of his death

That’s like an unfinished 2k dropping in January with Kobe on the cover just because he’s being talked about right now

sh*t like that comes off as pandering and is not a good look

It's sad we won't get to see what his potential was but you gotta set the bar higher than fashion, jewelry, and weed smoke every time you see him. We wasn't sure he was going to be able to switch his flows up just this past weekend. I don't know about star, but it's a shame he didn't get to transition fully into a legit lifestyle.
