Remove the trash engine and replace it with a more robust, high horsepower, reliable, daily driveable 2J coupled with BMW's awesome handling. Makes sense.

Would've made sense to me with my old M5. $12k for a complete valve rebuild was no joke. But man do I miss the sound of that motor revving.

Mine was modded to make 600 HP. I've known people to get 700 without forced induction. I had a Remus exhaust on mine and man I so miss that noise. But I was done with the constant and expensive repairs and the clunky and horrible iDrive system. But boy did that car scream and dance in the back roads.

I increased the red line to 10k so you can imagine the problems I created. My wife said I'd never be able to sneak in because she could always hear me coming down the road. My neighbors were so happy when I got rid of it.
