the thing about these rappers who've had hits years ago is that their ego's get in the way of them accepting certain gigs. dude probably asking for 10k+ to perform ... and promoters then gotta do math to see if they could turn that 10k to a profit.

the answer is a strong maybe (leaning towards a no) so the artist just doesn't get booked.

This dude doesn't need to do this weird sh*t. Just perform cashing out at a rate that makes sense to the venues, promoters, and himself ... and he'll be fine
