Lost Tapes = The Black Album

Basically, I came up dead even. I went more with public opinion on a few of these as I prefer Nas generally. Their discographies are both very good, mostly just depends on preference.

I voted first and I voted for nas. His legacy when done will be cemented as the only talent to make it through the 80s 90s 2000s 2010s and maybe even drop one for 2020s. His usage of the pen includes creativity, nobility, nasty sh*t, street sh*t, intelligent sh*t and influence. Some can argue jay was active in the 80s too, but has was bigger then and that's when hip hop was blowing up. He influenced most of the rappers today without a lot of people mentioning it. Hell he influenced jay too

Tbh
As a teenager, Nas enlisted his best friend and upstairs neighbor Willy "Ill Will" Graham as his DJ. Nas initially went by the nickname "Kid Wave" before adopting his more commonly known alias of "nasty Nas".[15] In the late-1980s, he met up with the producer Large Professor and went to the studio where Rakim and Kool G Rap were recording their albums. When they were not in the recording studio, Nas would go into the booth and record his own material. However, none of it was ever released. I had it wrong. His underground buzz was high but live at the barbecue was in 91.... hov wasnt active til 96. Moreover I consider nas in that biggie Tupac dominant era to be one of those that actually made it. Dmx jay big l and pun were the next wave... but jay and nas both get my respect for their longevity and contributions to expanding hip hop and its presence. Both rankings and again I was wrong bout the 80s part

the one with actual substance and creativity

the one who didnt need to wait until he was 50 to show some vulnerability and rap in a mature way.

the one who didnt need to jump on every trend or rely on production and feats.

Plus who added the poll? I didn't.

This was a battle between the albums which is why I didn't add the poll because then I would have to add a bunch.

I would but to be honest without listening to I am, nastrodmus, qb finest and untitled I don't remember them off the top of my head to judge them

they weren't the most memorable

Bar for bar, line for line, rhyme for almost kind of made it rhyme to make it kind of make sense; there's a clear winner but everyone has their opinion

I'd say

Illmatic
IWW
vol 2
vol 3
dynasty
blueprint
God's son
Black album
Street disciple = kingdom come
American gangster
Untitled
LIG
4:44

But it would look completely different ranking all their albums because some of their best albums are getting beaten and some of their worst are winning
