Holy sh-t! One of the greatest muthafu-kas to ever touch a mic speaks truth!

The homey @Sccit me , @jj01 @madness n @timdog been saying this sh*t for years!

Streaming n mp3 are fu*king filth even compared to cassette, let alone cd n the ultimate vinyl. Yeah its accessible, but we want to feel the music in our soul and touch the actual cd n read the booklet. NOTHING can replace that. The homey Heavens movie hit y'all with that image y'all young f*g**ts can't even understand.

I still buy cds weekly bout to cop dominos second album, lamb and ari Lennox n rahsaan Patterson.copped Raphael saadiw the day it dropped and the cd sh*ts on the mp3

Agreed with you. Nothing like the physical copy.

Dj Quik said tapes hold the best sound.

Tidal claims to be able to stream at the highest quality with the hi-fi service..so Bizzy might be right

Its cause MP3 has lossy compression, FLAC is CD quality, also TiDaL has uncompressed quality option.

CD is uncompressed and 44.1khz, even a 320kbps is not the same as CD or FLAC quality

Correct, its uncompressed audio and potentially higher than CD cause CD is limited to 16bit 44.1khz and audio interfaces go to 44.8khz and up and 32bit/24bit.

TiDal Hifi/master is 96khz and 24bit which is higher than CD

Yeah I prefer cassette and CD/DVD or high quality VHS.

Digital technology feels like nails on a chalkboard to me, on a deeper level. I'll never truly accept it.

When the government steps in and makes it more or less mandatory, something isn't right. You can't beat pointing an analog camera at something and recording what's actually there.

I bought every Bone cd and there affiliated artists growing up. Kids these days don't get the full experience... First thing Tuesday when I get out of school, go to Best buy and to be able to pick up a album you been waiting over a year for. Get in the car rip the plastic off put it in and get hyped just from the intros... At the red lights looking at the artwork in the book. Don't get that feeling anymore cuz I rarely get excited for a album release lol

100% true, but unless you're an audiophile your ears will not be trained enough to tell the difference

hence: casual listeners

If you go back and listen to something like Ironman by Ghostface on tape, and compare it to an MP3, there's a world of difference in the feeling of it.

I've complained about digital bullsh*t on BX for the longest.

It has its place because it's convenient but it should never replace analog recording. The two should co-exist. Even movies should generally still be released on tape imo, at least as an option.

I don't stream anything at all, unless Youtube counts.

I fu*k wit Bizzy but what he's describing is the mp3 game which is a generation behind where these kids are at now. Sharing a playlist thru these streaming sites will always sound the same(sh*tty but consistent) and they don't know or care about owning the physical copy.

Most are basically renting music and wouldn't know what to do if they didn't have internet to access it.
