Kanye West Settles Legal Battle With Music Publisher EMI Over Record Deal

Kanye West has reached a deal to end his nasty battle with his music publisher EMI over his record deal.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper and his music publisher have informed the court of the deal. The agreement will bring an end to the dueling lawsuits they filed.

The documents note, “PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Plaintiffs Please Gimme My Publishing, Inc., West Brands, LLC, Kanye West, and Ye World Publishing, Inc. (the “Plaintiffs”) and Defendants EMI April Music, Inc. and EMI Blackwood Music, Inc. (the “Defendants”) (collectively, the “Parties”) have reached an agreement in principle to settle the above-captioned action in its entirety. The Parties expect to draft and finalize a settlement agreement within ninety (90) days.”
