People definitely need to exercise. Walking is the absolutely best. It lowers cortisol and causes a release of serotonin which makes you feel happier. It also gets your thyroid and bowels going. When people overdo high intensity exercise and heavy lifting, they put stress on their adrenal glands by increasing he demand more stress hormone and this can actually stress you out longterm. Sounds crazy but its true.

Parasites also cause depression. Everyone has them. It becomes a problem when they get out of hand. Alot of people have them and dont know it. Eating undercooked meat, especially seafood and steaks can cause worm infestation. Pork has tons of parasites as well. Even when you fully cook the meat, the worm eggs can survive. Candida and yeast are also bad. You have alot of people walking around with systemic inflammation which also causes depression. This is why omega 3s and other good fat foods help you feel better. Good fats heal inflammation and take stress off your adrenal glands.

Chronic dehydration also causes depression. Most people are chronically dehydrated and dont know it. They are depressed because their brain doesn't have enough water. Dehydration causes your cortisol levels to go up. Overtime it wears out your adrenals. Dehydration is more than just water. You need electrolytes. Good quality unrefined salt, potassium and magnesium. Table salt does not absorb as well as real salt. Also chronic dehydration can also be caused by not eating enough carbs. Carbs help you retain sodium and essentially water. This is one reason people who go on keto diets are more prone to dehydration. They lose more electrolyte due to low insulin.

Electrolytes lower stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. Especially sodium. Doctors aren't telling you this. Low salt diets can cause cortisol and adrenaline spikes. This is why salt(unrefined salt) helps your mood and helps you sleep better. Going on low salt diets causes a huge stress response in the body. The adrenals go in shock. Alot of people with sleep problems aren't getting enough salt and/or carbs.

Nailed it. My exact recipe. Physical and mental health go hand and hand for me. You cannot be mentally your best if you're not physically your best. Diet, exercise, quality sleep, and exposure to sun or at least getting outdoors for some time. Quality sleep is number one imo. I also notice on days it's raining or sh*tty out I'm not in the best mood, the weather really effects me, so I've been supplementing with vitamin D on sh*tty weather days i cant get my sun on.
If you're lacking in any of these area practice until it becomes a habit or second nature. If you have issues sleeping. Stop looking at electronics an hour before you sleep. Learn to read, meditate, or there are 1000's of different audible options.

Mental health seems to be finally less taboo to talk about in America. As someone who's a caring person it's hard for me to see others not at 100%, even if I dont know them.

Guilty of it. Just left my job as a national sales manager for a world acclaimed pro audio brands company 2 weeks ago.

Im in debt right now and out of shape.
But Ive never felt free-er.

Money is not everything, and only YOU knows YOU. You can take advice from others on how to implement your own decisions, but never let others decide for yourself.

Going back to the boxing gym next week and will take a few Udemy classes as well.

If you ever feel stuck, you're the only one responsible for it. Trust yourself and your abilities brethren.
