Comcast and AT&Tís TV services are having a bad 2019. According to their second 2019 numbers, Comcast lost 224,000 TV subscribers and AT&T lost 778,000 TV customers.

When you break it down, AT&T is losing a TV subscriber every 10 seconds and Comcast is losing 1.7 subscribers every minute according to DecisionData.org.

According to the Leichtman Research Group, over 1.53 million American households canceled traditional pay-TV in the second quarter of 2019. This jump is more than triple the 420,000 households that canceled cable TV in the second quarter of 2018.

If this rate of growth continues over the next year, cord cutting will grow by over 6.12 million American households.

The question now is how fast will cord cutting speed up in the second half of 2019. At this rate of growth, cord cutting may surpass cable TV subscribers far faster than first expected. For now, cable TV still has about 80 million subscribers

makes sense

there really is no need to have a TV subscription in 2019

unless you are in a location that doesn't have reliable internet or something. Or you're really old and are stuck in your ways

What do you do for live sports?

Feel like thatís the biggest hurdle for people that want to cut the cord

cord cutting is a logical step forward. Youcan take your shows from your living room to your break room at work, to your waiting room at the doc's office

with traditional cable you're stuck at home

Only a matter of time. Hell, YouTube TV is better than traditional cable.

The amount of networks that break tides with traditional cable was the beginning of them end.

DirecTV has nothing, Time Warner has nothing, Xfinity doesn't even provide a mobile app anymore for Starz.

I was done with them after that, but still dont know what to subscribe to. YouTube TV trial is ending next month, who else is buzzing?

I understand to a point but some people just want to turn the TV on and watch and not have to search. I got directv now only b/c of live sports and a couple shows I dvr. I tried the stuff on the internet but it seems I can never find what I'm looking for and adds have pretty much made alot of sites not worth it for me. I'll just pay the 60 bucks for now.

That is unless Im not using the right apps. Feel free to tell me what I should be using...

I've been internet only for the past 4/5 years...so they raised my bill to $75 a couple of monthes ago.

...it was $45, then $60 & now $75.
They'll find a way to get their change.

Google fiber and Verizon fios need to hurry and expand already .. tired of spectrum only reason I keep them is because I’m grandfathered into the 200 Mbps which they don’t even offer to new subscribers but still there are no their internet offerings

Cut the cord three years ago. With Vue I cut my cost by 2/3, I lost Comedy central but didn't lose any other channel I care about, just really wanted a reliable way to watch live sports. Cinema HD for the plug, and I'm all the way nice. Spectrum call every week trying to get me back on.

I used to work for Direct Tv, so I know how it is. When I left n*ggas cut my service off no warning, thought I was going to sign up as a regular citizen to a two year bullsh*t contract, I was like n*gga I can get the same access I had with YouTube TV, I don’t need y’all, n*ggas tried to come up with a better deal but couldn’t. I was like take these damn boxes back.
