Boxden’s Top Rappers Rankings

Alright let’s try it.

In light of these top 50 lists going around, let’s collectively compile a list here. Since a lot of us are quick to criticize, let’s see if our rankings add up. No one will ever have a perfect list that we all agree on. What’s worse is looking at one person’s list as gospel. The goal isn’t for one person to make a top 50; it’s to make a list that represents a collective of opinions. There’s a lot of different age groups, regions, genders, backgrounds here to draw from. Let’s try to put it all together.

How it works is everyone will rank their top 20 doa in order. After a few days or when it seems nothing more will be contributed, I’ll tally up everyone’s list using a point system (#1 gets 20 points, #2 gets 19, etc.). Once it’s all added up, I’ll rank the rappers in order of most to least points in a separate thread. The more who participate here, the better.

I realize this concept has flaws: trolls, aliases, being influenced by others, divisiveness, etc. With that said, please try not to attack others. We may have to put our biases on hold. If someone has Nelly in their top 20, that’s their opinion as everyone has different tastes. Individuality of each list will only help since we’ll all be leaving out key people here and there. Although if you feel someone’s trolling, feel free to have them defend their list. If the trolling is overly apparent, they’ll be disregarded. Take your time, and have fun.
