This game has terrible controls, a horrible camera, and you can't take two steps outside without an army of enemies chasing and shooting at you in your batmobile or randomly spawning at every corner of the city. But it also is open world 3d game...in nineteen ninety fu*king eight. And the city is detailed as fu*k and the game has a real time detective system where if you don't solve clues or investigations in time, you actually miss crimes taking place. You can also switch between Batman, batgirl, and robin. All with different vehicles. This is incredibly impressive for the Time and on the ps1.

I’d love to hear from the PC guys on this. There has to be absolutely gorgeous games that are absolute garbage regardless of that fact.

Nightmare Creatures II. I played the hell outta this game, the opening level is a pretty well designed and accurate depiction of an early 1900s insane asylum. The great level design continues throughout the whole game but the combat is atrocious.

loved this slept on classic.
i remember the first one was like completly unpayable no matter how hard i tried to tolerate it, so i used a cheat to level skip just to see where the story went and i still didn't have a fu*kin clue what was going on

There was a decent amount of hype surrounding this game - One - when it 1st dropped. It got slept on, but it was fu*kin great, i loved it.
But the Bruce Willis version was way better - I say that because it had the same gaming engine.
Called "Apocalypse"
Me and my homies used to have a blast tripping off Bruce's soundbites

just looked up some gameplay.

the atmosphere, sound design, and level design are very impressive. it's also pretty cool how as you f*ght enemies, their limbs fall off. but the actual combat animations do look pretty choppy.
