Was E-Money​ Bags The Start Of The Jay-Z / Nas Beef!?

Oh snap! This is crazy! All these years we thought the Jay-Z / Nas beef was over a woman. Do you all remember E-Money Bags!? Due wDas official in the streets and he was not to be played with. For a lot of us, like myself, we mostly know him as a shadowy dude that eventually emerged as a rapper with close times to some big names like Nas. As a queens street legend, he had major pull. He also had major beef. He was murdered in 2001 in a drive-by shooting in Queens. Before all that, he had an issue with Jay-Z.

The video you will see below explains the whole beef, but I will write out some cliffs for you all that may not be able to watch it. E Money Bags finds out that there is a rapper close to Jay-Z named H Money Bags. They say H Money Bags was really down with Memphis Bleek, but that's neither here nor there as it relates to Big E. He wanted Jay-Z to make the dude change his name and that's that! Well, that didn't happen and I think Jay had to maintain his position off GP outwardly. Inwardly, I believe he had to fix the problem, because there were some serious street issues that could have come out of it. E Money Bags was a straight goon. In the video below, they explain that E Money Bags went on the diss Jay-Z for a whole year after dude did not change his name. Jay didn't reply at all which is why a lot of people didn't know about this beef. E tried to get Nas to talk some sense into Jay. And seems like Prodigy tried to talk to him too, also to no avail. It seems like it was at this point that Jay set his scope on these two and then happened the infamous diss at Summer Jam. Up until that point, Nas was actually neutral. I don't think Jay wanted to deal with E Money Bags, but he was definitely down for a rap battle with the whole Queens! LOL!! Peep this.
