personally i dont lift anything on a barbell over 215, if it gets too easy i increase the reps

I was like a super athlete in my 20s and it took a toll on me. Got tired of the grind, but then I got to that point where I had to think about long term health. So I do it long term for health now

I mean some of the most strong a*s dudes in the gym go barefoot or wear chucks. Closer to barefoot the better. You engage more muscle.
