Cops Admit To Crashing Into Young Thug's Rolls-Royce, L.A. Gun Charge Dropped
Atlanta rap star Young Thug caught a huge break in a gun case in Los Angeles.
Earlier this month, the District Attorney in Los Angeles tossed a gun charge against the rapper.
Last August, Thug was busted in Hollywood, after attending his own record release party at a Dave & Buster's.
Things went left for Thug when a cop lost control of his cruiser and smashed into the rap star's Rolls-Royce. The accident triggered a search of the rapper's luxury vehicle, which uncovered a loaded handgun.
Young Thug was arrested and charged with suspicion of possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
According to Young Thug's lawyer Michael Goldstein, police were unable to match any DNA evidence on the gun to the rapper so the charges against him were dropped.
"I commend the District Attorney's Office for making the right decision after carefully reviewing the facts and body worn video over the past 9 months," Michael Goldstein said in a statement. "The fact so much time and work went into this decision reinforces trust in our system of justice."
