Danny Green REVEALS what KLAY THOMPSON TOLD HIM after ACL KNEE INJURY :mjwow:

Danny Green explains what Klay Thompson told him after knee injury

In one of the most defining, jarring moments of the 2019 NBA Finals, Klay Thompson went up for a two-handed dunk, was fouled by the Toronto Raptors’ Danny Green, and landed on his left knee, tearing his ACL. Green, who spoke to Canadian media on June 16, the day before the Raptors held their championship parade, said he had no idea what happened in the moment.

“I thought it was pretty clean. They called a foul,” Green said. “I wasn’t sure what happened and I just saw him grab his knee. You never know serious it is with him because he just walks through and plays through anything. The guy came back on the court like it was nothing with a torn ACL and shot his free throws.”

Green said that the rest of Thompson’s teammates were far from harsh on him for the incident.

“They were like, ‘We know you’re not dirty.’ Draymond [Green], Iggy [Andre Iguodala] they were like, ‘Yeah, you went up for the ball. He just came down funny. It’s not your fault. Don’t even worry about it,'” Green said.

When Thompson went to take his free throws on the torn ACL, Green said he checked in with him. Thompson’s reaction was much the same as Green and Iguodala.

“[Thompson’s] like, ‘I know you didn’t do it purpose,'” Green said.

Green said he didn’t find out how bad Thompson was hurt until he talked to Draymond Green in the hallway after the game.

“I saw [Draymond] in the hallway after and he said it’s an ACL and I was like ‘Ahhh, sh–.’ It’s gonna be a long summer for not just him but their team,” Green said. “You never want to see those guys go down that way. They’re special players and you don’t want to see their careers changed, or be hindered or be over because of certain types of plays or injuries — especially the ones you’re involved in.”

image Just like the announcers said as you can hear on the PA in that video, it was clean play, Danny Green shouldn't feel guilty about this

Karma was at play here, Karma was going to make that acl tear whether Danny Green went for the ball or not

Am I missing something here? When was the first time Danny Green caused Klay Thompson injury during the finals?

why is it not? People were claiming that Danny Green shouldn't of went for the ball, so it is good to know exactly what the Warriors and Klay Thompson thought about it and what they told Danny Green

Social Media was saying it was dirty play and/or unnecessary, and on the ABC telecast, they were alleging that when Stephen Curry slammed the ball into the court after it happened, that he was "Angry" that Danny Green went for the block

I'm not sure if you remember the play, but Danny Green going for the block made Klay Thompson land differently.

I mean he literally bumped klay Thompson in mid air before the dunk

In most cases you would allow the player to get that dunk, just to be sure a possible but rare injury doesn't happen.

But it was clean play by Danny Green and it was in the finals, where you go after any block you can get

borderline dirty. when youre not taller or more athletic and coming for a block from behind theres gonna be a lot of contact.

Look at the upper arm area bro.He makes contact with klay a split second before Klay tries to grab the rim.

I'm not sure if you've played basketball before, but even the slightest bit of contact in the air can alter the way you land DRASTICALLY.

Klay Thompson definitely took off too early, but Danny Green made it even worse with the contact.

With that said, like I said in the finals that is a clean play

Klay kicked his legs out after a 3 in the game 2 win and came down funny and thats how he pulled the hammy. Green was guarding him on the play as well, but it legit should have been an offensive foul, not like Green tried to injure him there, GS fans just hurt.

On the ACL tear play, there is not a bump like you are alluding to OP, not at all. Not to the body, or to the head, before they jumped or while in the air.

You are just being a wh*re as usual.

Klay tried drawing the foul by kicking his legs out on a 3, Danny avoided it, Klay made no contact and landed awkward hurting his hamstring. It was Klay's own fault.

The ACL wasn't Danny's fault either. Klay hurt himself twice.
