The dreams never stop you go for a min and a certain stretch of days you will have nightmares. Always k*lling people but they never die.... or you being hunted down by another squad. Then the nights where you sleep for 3-4 hours and up the rest of the day. People annoy you, grocery shopping is the worst, and every little thing that people do annoys the fcuk outta you even your own fam but you push through

My friend from high school came back from Iraq suffering from PTSD. The last conversation we had was how he had to k*ll kids the same age of his children and felt guilty. Two months later he swallowed a bullet in the bed while his wife and kids were in the living room.

Corey Holcomb talks about this a lot especially in reference to black soldiers and he gets flack from MAGA twitter but now that actual military personnel and family members are saying the same things maybe they will listen.

They signed up for the army voluntarily

What did they think when they joined???

Bottom line America is soft
I know ptsd is real but I still think 95% of America is soft and isn’t built to k*ll people

My hero served as a sergeant major in WW2
He was a man of honor who had a handle on his life regardless what he had to endure

most of my family that served played the system and ended up good on the other side but there are still stuff that fu*k with them(my dad hates crowds now and a little less social than he used to be when he came back from iraq. My cousin was never right after being in the marines for a couple of years). You can get a lot of of the military but it can take just as much out of you

Not really. When you go through firef*ghting training on a ship and they tell you that if a body drops, you let him stay there and continue f*ghting the fire. That they will just send another body in and get to him later.

It makes sense for the greater good I guess but do you want to be that body that falls and they don't get to in time.
