Rich Boy-Rich Boy was pretty dope, but I don’t see why he didn’t blow like that especially when there was so much trash coming out (primarily of the south) at that time. I still somewhat think he could make a comeback, but I doubt it. We’ll always have Kool-Aid, Kush, and Convertibles.
Mac (of No Limit)-We all know the murder charge was what fu#ked Mac up, but his talent was inevitably wasted. Mac could spit with anybody, and it would have been nice to see what could have been.
Dirty-Them Dirty boys was nice and their first mainstream album Da Pimp and Da Gangsta is a lowkey classic out of the South. Heard they retired recently, and it kind hurt my heart.
Field Mob-Lyrical as fu#k, and never got the props they deserved, even after joining DTP. I know they didn’t know how to market them, and tried to make them too commercial sounding on Lightpoles and Pine Trees. First album is classic though..get familiar.
Big K.R.I.T.-I don’t know what to say about K.R.I.T. except when I really gave him a listen when Returnof4Eva dropped (knew about him prior though), I felt like he was the reemergence of the Southern golden era. I still fu#k with K.R.I.T. To a large extent, but I think he took some missteps with the direction of his sound.
