Just a neat way to get an extra $30k out of people. It's only slightly faster and more powerful.

This cool and all but it won’t be able to beat the Tesla Roadstet which will be around the same price.

Slightly faster? The current turbo S is as fast in the 1/4 as a Bugatti veyron.

Wide body, All wheel drive, different engine or different engine internals/setup.

I think?

I think the “wide body” is standard now meaning the non 4/4S/4GTS and non “turbo/turboS” will still come with those succulent thunder thighs. And as far as i remember the turbos have always been 4-wheelers (may not be the case for those Bad Boys turbos but im an 80s baby and wasnt born with a silver spoon so i have no idea about pre-997 nine-elevns).

Seeing how they pushed back the all new boxter/cayman for an all-out electric one (or at least an electric motor a*sisted, when it comes to actual production), perhaps they will differentiate the turbo/turboS by sprinkling them with the hybrid tech like they have already done with the 971 panamera.

The reason i was wondering was bc my dealer called me the other day sayin that he put me down for a 971 GTS without even telling me but of course with no obligations. My question was immediately about hows this GTS (with a turbo engine unlike my first panamera) different or better than my current 971 turboS e-hybrid? I wasnt trying to break his balls but i had to call him out for acting outta pocket (even tho this wasnt the first time... and more than once i was actually thankful that he acted at his sole discretion just for the purposes of securing the quarter) without burning bridges but it was more bc i was disappointed by the news regarding the direction they are taking with the boxster/cayman. I was secretly hoping that porsche would revert back to v6 (cuz i still wouldnt trade my 981 GTS for any level 718 not even the new GT4 (or maybe...), not go the other way and completely abandon internal combustion. But it seems like, to my dismay, its only an engine tune and other marketing bells and whistles.

But i guess it makes sense after all... they sho aint finna pull that bs with the 911s before they test the waters with the boxster/cayman... or worse yet on Cayennes and Panameras (in a larger scale one could say the whole VW fam) which were (or to some still are) abominations for a brand like Porsche. Without them i wonder where the company would stand in terms of “progress” let alone any ground to even stand... on
