If we want to address this issue, we need to do more than "house shame" or assume that gentrification happened because "working class landowners sold out." Working class landowners had their properties taken from them b/c the city wanted it to give to developers.

You can also request eminent domain for private development, claiming it for the common good, or to eliminate blight. This was done for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which I believe Jay Z may have some knowledge of. 🤔
