Social media era. A lot of celebrities that the mainstream wasn’t really talking about like that, if they passed it’s gonna be big.

Nobody outside of California knows who Nipsey is. Don't let his celebrity friends and that LA sh*t fool you.

It is devastating and social media adds a new dynamic

But Big and Pacs death were not only felt in the US but around the world

I'll Be Missing You was the biggest song on the planet

At the time Pac became the biggest selling rapper ever

Big went diamond out the gate

millions upon millions were made off the backs of Big and Pacs deaths, many jobs were created and many rappers were put on just because they looked or sounded like Pac and BIG

There has been not one thing on the magnitude of the so called "East Vs West war", which resulted in two of the biggest rappers dying, 6 months apart.

The thread title made it seem more ridiculous than it was. Better argument would be that it's the biggest death. Which still sounds preposterous, but if you do the math...

Not one rapper ever got a look from world leaders, state governments, law enforcement, every LA gang, billionaires, packed out Staples Center, etc etc

It's social media. The're video footage of him getting smoked all over social media. It went viral. Everyone saw it and that triggered empathy in people. The same thing happened with x*x.

The reality Nip was a d class rapper. No disrespect, but he has had no influence on hiphop whatsoever. He's loved in LA, because he's from LA.

Outside of that, no one knew who he was before he got shot. All this philanthropy people are attributing to him after his death is pure fabrication, and propaganda.
