Judge Rules 50 Cent Can Sue His Former Lawyers For Malpractice In $32 Million Lawsuit

50 Cent will be allowed to move forward with his massive malpractice lawsuit against his former lawyers who he believes cost him $32 million in the battle against Rick Ross‘ baby mama.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, a federal court judge ruled that Fiddy’s case against his ex-legal team can move forward.

Back in 2017, the rapper sued Reed Smith LLP and accused them of legal malpractice. 50 claimed they were the reason he was hit with a $7 million judgment over Rick Ross’ baby mama. 50 Cent claimed their work on the case lead to him having to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The firm worked for 50 Cent for over 14 years and specifically handled the case brought by Rick Ross’ baby mama, Lastonia Leviston, over a leaked s3x tape.

50 claims his legal team did a crappy job with discovery, which resulted in Leviston being awarded millions of dollars in damages.

Reed Smith denied all allegations of wrongdoing and noted the outcome of the s3x tape lawsuit had nothing to do with them, pointing out that 50 is the one who, “narrated and then published a s3x tape without consent. Not surprisingly, he got sued. After Raymond and Reed Smith defended this case for over five years, Jackson chose to go to trial with new lawyers, and he lost. He now seeks to blame his former lawyers for that loss, arguing that they should have done more, yet should have charged less.”

Fortunately for 50, the judge believed there were three witnesses in the case that should have been interviewed, as they could have possibly had information which would have helped to reduce the damages 50 was hit with. Because of the alleged lapse, the judge sided with 50 Cent and gave him the greenlight to continue his legal war.
